Question..

I received a dozen HDDs when I ordered one through Amazon. A month later, the seller contacted me and demanded me to return the HDDs back. Do I have to return them?

Answer:

In the UK: yes, goods delivered accidentally do not become property of the receiver. However, it is not the receiver’s responsibility to ship them back, it is only their responsibility to work with the sender to have them collected.

They are right to ask for them back, but wrong to ask that you send them. Tell them you are happy that the extras be returned but they will need to arrange a collection service at their own expense.

If you’re feeling nice you can have them send you a shipping label, print it then drop it off yourself. Do not get involved in paying for shipping then trying to get it back.
