I saw this quote today “Nothing teaches us about the preciousness of the Creator as much as when we learn the emptiness of everything else.” ‘It kind of seems that all of the things my friends love to do like go out drinking every friday, have sex with guys that in reality don’t mean much to them etc seem so superficial. Surely there is more to life than that. Even without my convictions as a christian I can’t see myself thinking much differently idk. Its been getting to me lately that surely I need to grasp a firm hold on the fact that the only thing of eternal value to me is Jesus. Yes, my exams are important. Yes, its important I get those a’s. Yes, it is nice to spend time with family and friends. But ultimately Jesus should be my priority. I need to keep asking myself am I putting him first and is he my priority?
