I'm now imagining Horace and Halt near/in the water for whatever reason. Maybe they're travelling and Horace wanted to stop for a swim so they're both swimming. But all of a sudden the water and the day reminds Halt of the day Ferris tried to drown him and he's freaking out and having a panic attack while in the water and Horace tries to help but Halt pushes him away because he doesn't want anyone touching him because he feels like Horace is going to push him under but Horace manages to get him to land and calm him down

pre-coffin daisy lurking around jon on a daily basis and making him uncomfortable. jon legitimately dislikes her but his brain is fucked and responds to fear with arousal. he's normally not the type to fantasize about people; this is different, though. somehow the guilty, twisted shame of it just snags his mind in a vice grip and refuses to let go.

he thinks about her cornering him in the archives at night, when everyone else has gone home. disjointed flashes of being pinned down, struggling ineffectually against solid weight, not having to think and just taking for once. he wants it so badly it scares him. it makes him even more avoidant of daisy--which is a very poor choice to make regarding an avatar of the hunt.
