In fact, there are so many things that could happen to Simeon now that he's become human. His immune system, for example, is probably not as good as an angel's, and there are probably a lot of human diseases he's never caught. He'll probably spend the first few months getting sick and catching every virus around. He'll probably end up with weaker bones too and he'll inevitably end up hurting himself more easily, after all, I've already sprained my ankle because I slipped on wet ground. 1/3 -^^
Ahh, it's so true, there's a ton of potential!
I hadn't considered the state of his immune system, but it could definitely be compromised as a new human. I would like to think he'd have some resistance but really where would he have gotten anything like that? Can you imagine MC taking care of Simeon after he's caught something like the chicken pox? Oh man or the flu?? MC just doting on him and him being like what no I'm fine this is nothing but then it totally wipes him out lol. Poor guy.
And yeah he better be careful with those human bones. I tripped in a parking lot once and sprained my ankle, so it's not difficult to do.
I also think MC is a special circumstance. They've had all the brothers protecting them from the very beginning.
But if we consider that Simeon has been human since the start of OG season three, he was spending all that time in the human world trying to figure all this stuff out. And he had Luke, but Luke didn't even know about it, right? Now I can't remember for sure, but I don't think he did. I mean if Simeon can't even tell MC the truth I doubt he could tell Luke.
I like to think that Solomon was keeping an eye on him during that time. Certainly there isn't as much he would need to worry about in the human world as compared to the Devildom. And we saw in season four how both Solomon and Lucifer went out of their way to protect Simeon.
I like to think that Simeon wouldn't be dumb and would try to keep himself out of danger, but he also can't just quarantine himself forever or anything. He doesn't have a bunch of demons to protect him and he's also not technically a part of the exchange program anymore. I think both of those things matter in the case of MC's safety. Simeon also isn't a sorcerer, which MC is. So really he's at a huge disadvantage compared to MC, I think.
Personally I really love the idea of Simeon coming to terms with his new reality only because MC is there to help him through it. Solomon can help, too. Who better to help Simeon understand how to be a human than two humans who love him??
I truly love Cassian Andor with all my heart and im glad we get to see him again but my rebelcaptain heart is DYING bc there's no jynnnnnnnn
What I like about Rufus is him and his half-brothers
And why the fuck would there be people who theorized Cloud is President Shinra's son? Probably bc of the hair ig
What I like about Rufus is that he's hot his personality. :3c
But yes, I do think his relationship with his half-brothers would be an interesting avenue to be explored deeper. I know it's briefly explored in The Kids Are Alright but based on the limited knowledge I have of that story, I don't think their personal interactions are focused on a lot.
But there are also canon stories about President Shinra having multiple children outside of his marriage so maybe there are more half-siblings??? That's probably why some people theorize about Cloud because a) the blonde hair of course (though I stand by the Rufus with red hair. I will fight someone to get that feature back for him) and b) I think there's some merit in all the ShinRa experiments that were going on in Nibleheim before the Sephiroth incident. ShinRa mansion is stationed there and as far as I know, Cloud does not have a canonically named father. So in a way, I can understand the theory, but I also don't personally believe it.
Anyway, don't tell anyone I've been spreading rumors about the ShinRa family. I need this internship...
The thing about Loki is that no one understands him better than himself but he was the one who never really saw who he is.
In his eyes, he was just a monster, trying to redeem himself his whole life. But he was so much more than that.
And I think that's part of what makes him such a beautiful character.
me realizing that in acosf we’ll see:
cassian dealing with his pain. he’s carried the burden of unresolved trauma from his mother’s death his whole life.
cassian does not act on his own emotion, not fully. in acowar he never truly seemed to pick nesta, not until the end, not when it was too late and he thought they would die. when nesta bandages his hand he doesn’t seem to really act on it, and while we get these scenes of them exchanging glimpses and looks, cassian just... doesn’t ever fully pursue it.
cassian believes he is not worth anything and that is because of his mother’s death.
(see: him not pursuing nesta because he does not believe he is worthy, nor is he ever used to acting for himself. even when he went after her in acofas it was because rhysand urged him to do so)
his worth is very much uprooted in his glory. there is no better reason for him to constantly stay sparring and busying himself in illyrian affairs to a very unhealthy extent. he believes that if he ensures the safety of every single illyrian and particularly the women, he’ll redeem himself and that his worth will be immeasurable. but he has not ever shaken off the pain that came with being deemed a bastard.
cassian has never truly faced the anger inside of him that came from his mother’s death, and if we’re being honest, he’s scared to. with battle and commanding others there is precision, there is order. but with facing your innermost demons you can’t predict what you’ll deal with; it isn’t like battle because you don’t know your opponent.
the inner circle knows of his pain, but really, i don’t think cassian has ever allowed them to truly help him with it. mor has an idea of it and rhysand undoubtedly knows, but i don’t think cassian has ever truly been vulnerable in that aspect because he thinks that they do not understand.
acosf will not only touch on nesta’s pain but CASSIAN’S. both have their own scars and wounds, but cassian has never allowed his to be visible, not completely. and i genuinely think it’ll be the first time in his life that he’ll ever be vulnerable.
//should add a headcanon about souji not wanting adachi to be alone in the world because he wouldn’t want to be alone, and he hates the thought of it.
