Am I already starting up a new animatic? Ugh. I need to actually FINISH a project! It’s another Rise TMNT animatic with Heather Matthews. Here are two early shots of Hea. (One of her as a kiddo.)
How much has has my OC changed since I first filled out this post. So the older responses will be written in italics. New responses will look ‘normal’. Let’s see how Heather Matthews (Hea) has changed over the years.
(Note: I use one character, Heather, for every fandom I’m interested in writing for.)

1: What’s your OC’s biggest insecurity and how would they react if someone pointed it out to them?
-Being told or proven to be wrong about something. She’ll also completely deny the fact that she was ever wrong and drop the subject. She’ll even fight ‘till the end to defend her own honor.
-So, this has ‘kinda’ changed? I’d like to think typically that Heather, nowadays, would be more insecure about her raw feelings toward someone she deeply cares for? Total simp/tsundere for sure. She, in most cases (especially at a younger age) will completely deny her emotions. Although I can see her being stubborn about being right to a fault. Damn rightfigher.
2: If your OC wants to buy a firearm, what it might be for?
-The zombie apocalypse.
-Same answer, pretty much.
3: Does your OC behave differently around different people, if so with whom and how?
-When she’s around a love interest she’ll try to act nonchalant when in fact she’s quivering inside.
-Okay, so Hea will TRY to be cool around her love interest but yeah, inside she’s a wreck. Although on the flipside of things, if she has a distaste for someone, she will not hesitate to let them know. Like to their face.
4: Would your OC want to involve themselves in humanitarian work ? If yes, then for what? If not, then why not?
-Sure, if there was a free buffet or pot luck to be had at the end of it.
-Same. Free food is always a plus for her.
5: How would your OC generally react to someone being verbally abusive towards them for no apparent reason?
-She would attack back in the worst possible way, even if it meant saying something she’d really regret later. She goes straight for the jugular every time she’s hurt by anyone.
-Well, I feel like it depends on the fandom I’ve written her in for this one. Like more than likely she’ll retaliate but in rare cases she might just endure due to circumstances? If her job/career is at risk, yeah she’s gonna eat a mile of dog shit to keep it going.
6: Does your OC have a realistic image of their own intelligence?
-No, she tends to thinker she’s smarter than everyone else.
-Yeah, this has changed somewhat. Younger Hea, yes, she thinks she’s got everything figured out but older Hea? She’d say she’s pretty average on the brain scale.
7: Does your OC have any irrational phobias?
-Snails.
-Snails.
8: How is/was your OC’s relationship with their parents?
-Very close. Although she’s very similar to her mother even to the point in which the two fight often because of it.
-Family is always important to her. Although more so with her sisters than with her old folks. But yeah, still close regardless I suppose.
9: Does your OC feel a pressure to achieve or are they content and calm with doing what they can at the moment?
-Heather is very compelled to do what she believes is right. (Even if its actually wrong) She’ll take risky chances and do rash things to achieve her goals. She’s very impulsive. Oh and totally not calm about things in the moment.
-Heather has an extreme (and sometimes stupid) sense of justice. She tends to ‘freak out’ internally more often than anything. But she wears her heart on her sleeve for sure. If she’s stressed out about something, you’ll know.
10: Does your OC guard their emotions by being tough? If not how would they?
-YES! She’ll try to act like the biggest adult in the room and hide everything she’s feeling. Even though she’s actually a big baby.
-No kidding. This is still accurate.
11: How would your OC react to hearing they’re adopted?
-Not well.
-Same.
12: What is one of the most primary things your OC feels that is missing from their life?
-Attention from others.
-Accurate.
13: What kind of situations does your OC avoid the most?
-Rejections. Any type of rejection.
-Yep! Rejection is a huge no-no! So much so, she’ll refuse to act on her own feelings.
14: If your OC gets into a fight with their best friend, would they wait for their friend to make up with them, or would they try to make up with their friend?
-Heather would do anything to talk with her BFF after an argument. Mostly annoy the hell out of them...
-No change here.
15: Does your OC consider themselves a good person?
-Yes.
-In most cases.
16: Is your OC good at giving others validation of their feelings and making them feel understood?
-Yeah, I’d like to think so. She tries her hardest to listen to what others have to say, especially when it comes to a subject she’s familiar with.
-She’s not nearly as good a listener as her sister, Rye. But she tries. Although easily offended and perhaps she’s even better at starting a fight then resolving a problem...
17: Does your OC suffer from any mental health issues?
-Since I use Hea for different fandoms, her health status changes depending on the story. So she has had a few.
-Again, depends on the fandom she’s written for.
18: What kind of intrapersonal values does your OC have? (values about their self, what makes them feel like a valid person)
-Hea likes to flaunt that she’s a good baker and friend.
-Strong sense of justice, (sometimes too) loyal, passionate and caring.
19: What boosts your OC’s confidence the most?
-Cooking.
-Drawing and baking.
20: Does your OC hurt others often unintentionally? If yes, how?
-YES. Omg, she can open her big-ass yap and say the wrong thing without thinking in passing. Sometimes her brain works too fast for her mouth.
-Yeah, this is still true. Even overlooking a potential partner’s feelings can be added to that list. Idiot.
21: Does your OC hurt others often intentionally? If yes, how?
-Depends on if she likes the person or not. If she doesn’t she’ll call ‘em every name in the book.
-Still very accurate. 90% of the time Rye’s partner’s get this heat.
22: How does your OC usually show affection? Are they openly romantic or more restricted with their affectionate emotions?
-In public with a lover, she is very private. She likes to even ignore the person she’s in love with in public. No PDA here. But in private? She can’t keep her hands off.
-Still hates PDA.
23: Does your OC tend to hide something about their personality/essence when meeting new people? If yes, what?
-Like stated before, depends on the fandom. But she can and has.
-Typically, she’s an open book.
24: How would your OC react if they got humiliated by someone in a group of people?
-Her first reaction is to ALWAYS get angry. Anger is her first go-to emotion.
-Yeah, anger is number one for her. Then remorse, shame, guilt, ect.
25: How would your OC process the grief caused by the death of a loved one?
-By avoiding the subject all together.
-Still very true.
26: What is the most intense thing your OC has been battling with?
-Anger.
-Anger or any strong emotion, really.
27: Does your OC practise any kind of escapism? If yes, what kind?
-Baking/cooking.
-Baking, drawing, talking things out with her sisters.
28: How would your OC react if a bully stole their lunch money in high school?
-She might throw a punch...or two.
-Her lunch money? She might just let it go, but if it were someone else? Yeah, gloves off, bro.
29: How does your OC behave on the face of a conflict?
-Quick mouth, swear words a plenty.
-I like the idea that Hea only cusses when she’s feeling super strong emotions or feeling pushed so that’s new. She also tends to get real mad, real quick. Which is NEVER helpful.
30: What makes your OC defensive quickest?
-A personal (or what she thinks is) attack.
-Attacks on her sisters, friends or partners.

So in the end, things haven’t changed too much. Which I guess is kinda cool. Keeping Heather steady character-wise is kinda the idea. :)
