It's been a while since I have even posted anything writing-wise. I have been generally burnt out, but I liked this one enough to post it.

Was thinking how I could revamp old Rin’s design to fit in the current ideals of Piltover.... her being a pre-grad back then vs where she is at now. Piltover changed a lot in design and lore, but I still wanted to give her a kind of shabby Tech look while also crossing the idea that she originated from Bandle during this time. SOOOO you see a little bit of that, especially in her foot ware. She learned very fast that boots of some kind is MUCH better when working in a lab scenario compared to wrappings or bangles and going bare foot. She also created the scar on her tail during this time in an accident. Fur is very flammable, guys. So is oil. The two combined was not cool. Fire extinguishers, however, are awesome. Also!!! Way back, I had not thought of Rin’s glider either! That became a development of her as well!! I created the glider for her almost 2-3 years after her original design, Did you know? Also, ditched the bell because weeeeeeeeb. I don’t know if you guys noticed this during her development, but I always kept her bandanna. It was meant for it to move around her neck instead. I liked it better that way and still kept the dash of red to her design :) That’s the one thing I’ve always kept on her design despite how she has changed over the years.
Reading and Schoolwork headcanons
Seamus is a kinaesthetic learner, which means he learns by carrying out physical activities, rather than listening to a lecture or watching demonstrations. This is at least partially the issue for many instances throughout hogwarts where he forgot to read, didn’t read, or didn’t watch a demonstration prior to trying something out himself. It wasn’t that he didn’t try, it just didn’t stick unless he was just doing it himself.
This is why he generally avoided Hermione’s study systems because studying together would have likely resulted in murder on one side of the table or another.
Another issue was: if he already knew how to do something, or was reasonably sure he did, he’d want to know what happens if I do x instead. The answer was rarely something super cool but each time was a new attempt, fresh from all the other this was not a good idea at all.
The only time Seamus sought out a library was during summer break up until post-fourth-year summer. Up until then, he’d at least try (and get bored to tears) to get a basic understanding of what local kids learned in schools. While he wasn’t the most social with local kids, he liked being able to join in a pickup game if there was around and not knowing anything they knew was a quick way to gain a ‘freak’ label. Going into fifth year was the start of Seamus just not being able to pay attention to the school work that didn’t mean anything to him and as a result it also shrank his local friendships.
Although reasonably smart, Seamus is terrible at standardized tests. There was no way he would qualify for auror training (not that he would want to). He spends several years trying out various areas of employment trying to decide what suits him best, needing both hands on and intellectually stimulating work (there is an owl delivery service that still remembers at least one attempt of ‘well, what if x is substituted for y--should go fast, yeah?’)
Prideful owo
Pride, some consider it to be one of the worse of the seven. Why should a knight of his caliber, his skill, not be prideful? An artist with the blade in hand or within the courts of the royals. Each step was that of a god in the making, one that should be praised and catered to. Why should he not be prideful? His own men fear him as much as they respect him. Krieg is also arrogant in his pride. There are only a few he sees as above him and even that list is shrinking.
Demon Seed
"You haven't been sleeping well again."
Ienzo doesn't even look up from the notes he's been pouring every last ounce of his energy into, adding new annotations in top of old ones or the next revision. His head aches and his vision is going blurry around the edges. "And?"
"And you're clearly overworking yourself."
"I don't need your input." The scientist stiffly replied, shifting in his chair and just wishing he could be left alone for once. But instead he feels a set of arms wrapping around his shoulders and pulling him back in the chair, and it would almost be comforting, if those arms didn't belong to a former version of himself.
Zexion leaned down to rest his chin against the other's shoulder to look at his work. "I'm here, so you know how bad things have gotten. I thought maybe I lost you to 'love' and 'happiness' and all that ilk."
"I'm quite happy with how things are right now." He answered stiffly, gripping his pen tighter, his patience quickly draining. He was too exhausted to deal with this right now.
"Is that why you've locked yourself up? Running yourself ragged on pointless little things? Refusing to see even your 'beloved' because you don't know how much control you have and you're so worried about I might do to--"
The Nobody paused raising a hand to pull the scientist's pen out of his visible eye, giving a half-mad little giggle as black began to ooze down his face. "Oh dear, you're just too much fun."
[Pre 'The Incident' dialogue work]
"Hallucinations?"
"Correct, ever since the Lexicon came back into my possession."
"Once more: detail to me exactly what you see."
"It varies. Usually when I dream it's people I care for - you, Aeleus, others - dying. Typically in gruesome ways that it makes me ill to think of it. And...it's Zexion who does it."
"Zexion? Not...yourself?"
"No. I've never thought of us as...the same being. He was cruel, twisted, inhuman. I know I am far from perfect, but I am not as far gone as he is."
"I see. And when you're awake?"
"Him, usually. He taunts and torments me. Sometimes it's...my father..."
"Well, we'll put you under observation tonight and begin testing antipsychotics. See if there's anything that will help until we get this all figured out."
"Thank you, Even. Sorry to disappoint you, I know an unstable mind will be of no help to you in the lab."
"Not at all, you're useful when you offer yourself as an experiment. I already have some theories..."
Thoughts on Xigbar
"As a child, Braig utterly terrified me. In my mind it was obvious why Aeleus and Dilan were guards: they're strong, powerful, intimidating. But upon first glance, Braig was none of the above. And he never seemed to be on...simple duty. No guarding the gates, no outer patrols. I fancied him to be right in with Master Ansem, and I never knew of what he was up to. Some children might have imagined some fanciful story for him, but I was cynical even at a young age. Now I suppose I can say I knew better."
"He's also the only one that even caught me out of the castle late at night. Twice, for sure. But I have a feeling he had seen me before and simply not bothered."
"As Zexion I did not think much of him. Something about him always disturbed me, rubbed me the wrong way if you will. I believed it was merely the lingering feelings of my childhood. Sometimes he'd say things that would make my stomach twist, but I counted that to me being sensitive in a few ways."
"Now, he poses more of a threat. And while I may taunt or be cocky, I know he's dangerous. And I'm sure he's gone quite mad."
