We distinctly remember getting into syscourse once on Twitter a few years back, and one of the antis calling us racist... Because we didn't include any indication of headmate race in our pinned thread about us.
We are bodily white. Most of our human/humanoid headmates are white bodied or if not they're Rehian (from our paracosm.) Or they're entirely nonhuman. Or, in the case of Aery, they're not even biological and can choose to present as colors you'd never see on Earth like blue or red or true gold.
Rehia has what we on Earth would see as white, brown, and black people, some people of various skin tones with epicanthic folds, and a few races that are unique to it. But most people are mixed to at least some degree. That's because the main human-settled continent and country covers both northern and southern hemispheres. There's still bigotry — some even national. But race isn't one of those factors.
So anyway. Saying that Daj and me (Grace), for instance, have light brown skin in the innerworld has zero correlation to any race here.
Why do we not give any indication? Because it's irrelevant. We're bodily white and that's the only one that matters here.
And because we know how trolls and antis can be. If we even just had faceclaims that weren't white, certain people would take this as an indicator of appropriation even if we never do anything but represent our innerworld appearance.
It's frustrating. We're from a world that not only has no racial disparity, it never has. There's zero racial bigotry. Isn't that the goal?
And then to come here where it IS a thing and to be treated poorly for being what we are internally even without even stepping a foot outside of our bodily experience...
