Bandai UK Appoints New Head Of Marketing
This may be excellent news for our friends over the pond. Bandai UK has promoted Kristy Mackenzie, who was formerly serving as a marketing manager to the new head of marketing. What really got us excited is that in the official, and public, announcement Tamagotchi was mentioned, and it might mean good things are ahead.
“Kirsty has vast experience in strategising and implementing marketing campaigns and will be instrumental in heading up the department to drive growth and market share for all Bandai UK brands. These include huge initiatives for the likes of our extended Dragon Ball line, celebrations and comeback plans for retro ranges Tamagotchi and Harumika, and continued activity for recent successes such as Bananas, National Geographic, and Sea Monkeys to name but a few.”
The article quotes Kristy as she speaks about the portfolio heading into 2020, which appears to have a strong product lineup, including licensing. Kristy is really excited to develop and support the upcoming marketing campaigns.
Perhaps we are reading into it too much, but Bandai UK is launching the PAC-MAN Tamagotchi that they just brought to the 2020 London Toy Fair. Maybe Bandai UK has some more plans in place for 2020 to help the comeback of Tamagotchi? Fingers crossed!
