What in the world was this place? Although he had only just arrived in his new presumed city of home, he was able to tell that this city looked exactly alike -- although it wasn’t at all. Somehow the atmosphere, everything was far more eerie. Maybe it was the shadows roaming around. Maybe it was the lack of people. Maybe it was the silence from even bugs being absent.
This wasn’t like anything he had seen before. Not like the apocalyptic world he came from where death and destruction were the only things he knew and not like the past he had come to where hope and friendships mixed into the chaos.
So Owain was relieved to know that even in this peculiar place he wasn’t alone. Spotting a blonde girl around his own age, the boy knew her only far too well. As unlikely as it seemed, she was after all his mother, and she seemed just as confused as he was.
Closing in on her to jump out and give her one of his usual dramatic greetings, Owain spotted one of the shadows drawing closer to her, and while he already knew that they didn’t seem to interact with this plane, alarm bells went off inside of him. “Mother watch out!” he yelled, and then ran to her side with his sword drawn. “Foul creature, come closer to my mother and I shall see to your demise myself!”
