🧇🥚🥓Is breakfast the most important meal of the day? A question I’ve been asked quite a few times recently which tells me many need guidance. Let’s start off by pointing out “breakfast” means to literally break your fast. With that said, does it mean you have to eat immediately upon waking? 👇🏽This is how I advice my clients on this. Think more in terms of WHAT you break your fast with, versus the timing. In other words, if you wake up and your not hungry, don’t eat yet. Our bodies send ques and signals. Use your intuition. Wait a little bit if needed. Just be more cognitive about WHAT you eat when you do. That first meal of the day is important because of how you choose to boot up your metabolism and nourish your body, or not. Whether you eat donuts at 6, 7, 8 or 9 am isn’t the concern. The concern is the donut. Now, if you eat at 6, 7, 8 or 9 am an amazing protein smoothie with some greens...NOW you’re on the money! We were told we needed to eat every 3-4 hours for years! Now science, research and testimonies are helping us understand more and more that it’s not so much about the timing as much as it’s about the TYPE of calories and Whole Foods we choose. So, the next time you ask yourself if breakfast is the most important meal of the day...STOP, and then ask yourself what you will eat for your first meal of the day WHEN you’re body feels ready. I just want to give up and throw the towel in! How can I feel like this when I am the lifestyle transformational coach? I have been truly challenged by this recently. I’ve made some HUGE strides in my own health. Where I was and where I am am now are like night and day. I went from having terrible body issues and literally living on diet pills and detoxes to becoming a health coach and being overly strict for years. I am balanced. This last 3-4 weeks has really got to me. I’m feeling challenged by everything going on! COVID, my kids and husband home all day, the challenges in business, etc. It’s just all coming to a head. This last 2 weeks I just want to give up, go to a drive through, get cookies and cake and pop diet pills! I can’t believe I’m being so triggered to old patterns like this! How is this happening? But I’ve been able to hold strong through this storm. And here is what has helped me do it: 🙌🏽 I have a coach & am on a coaching program!💥Period. I can’t see ever not having coaching in my life. 👉🏽I have a system to fall back on with my nutrition & fitness, one I teach women everyday! 🙏🏼I have God & gratitude in my life. I meditate, pray and journal no matter what everyday and it is paying off more than ever right now. ✨I have learned how to give myself grace when it gets to be very difficult. I’ll take a day off, I’ll sleep in if I need it, I’ll even allow myself to have a little extra wiggle room with food to help me have a break... And all this is keeping me on track. I may not look like I am having quantum leaps at this time, but I know I am. Even if I can’t see it yet. I’m just so grateful I have this support and help. Without it I would be so lost right now, depressed and give up and fall behind. And I am. I am holding strong. I have an incredible program I’m almost done with coming out very soon. ❓Can you target weight loss in a very specific area? Not so much. Can you target a particular muscle to build it? YEP! 100%! That was me when I decided to target my bootie way back in 2011. It had become flat and covered in cellulite. So, with dedication in the kitchen to healthy cooking and eating with high protein, and commitment to my glute workouts I was able to build myself a bubble butt and lean out my body which in turn was like targeting that area. And I then became known for my lower body workouts.💥💥💥 I’m currently working on a solid bubble butt routine to share with your ladies. ✅ I have 2 choices the way I see it. 2️⃣ Complain about what I know I NEED to do. 2️⃣ Just get it done! Both require effort, and both give a result. The question is, what result are you truly wanting? If you’re honest with yourself you might just find out the true result you want is to complain and not have to do anything about it. And if that’s what you want, than that’s ok! Or... You’ll realize that complaining is NOT what you want, and getting the work done to get the results you truly want is way more appealing to you. But again...they both require work! To get it done means you can no longer complain and do nothing. So, the next time you begin to complain, remember that it takes work and give a very specific result.
