For some fucking reason, kids with dyslexia are likely to get glue ear and ear infections , this shit has knock on effects. Personally I just have really shitty hearing now, and all my dyslexic cousins have lisps because during development stages they couldn’t actually hear the sounds their parents made.

So imma say that when Rick makes Percy repeat a name back to annabeth or whoever, it’s not the “he’s a dumbass” agenda, cos there is nothing supporting that. No, instead percy is hard of hearing, even if he’s not deaf to the point where he’s need hearing aids, and just isn’t hearing people propperly and can’t always rely on reading lips.

Physical Health Update!

So I might actually be on the right path to helping with my seizures! They’re mostly noise triggered, and I just finally had a hearing test a few weeks ago. I got my results yesterday and they found out that I’m not processing certain frequencies correctly, which completely blows my mind! It can explain a lot of my symptoms that I’ve experienced for years (like ear pain!!!) but had seemingly no explanation for. I’m really happy because this finally looks like the answer that no one has been able to give me. Doctors have been baffled by me for a long time and just kept telling me that they couldn’t help me or to see someone else, and I’ve just been trying to find something to point me in the direction of an answer. 

There is a therapy that I can go through to help with my hearing, so hopefully I’ll be able to process sound better, and the seizures won’t be so severe, or will stop all together. I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen yet with everything, but it’s really good start, and I’m hopeful for a positive outcome.

Will have to get myself to audiology first thing in the morning.

It had better a be a hearing aid problem.
