Upcoming Release Dates.
Hello little loves! Just wanted to update yall on the release dates for my new project(s). I'm so excited to put all my new songbabies out in the world for your ears- I've spent the past few months working on this new collection of songs and keeping them under intense wraps (all of about 15 people have heard this stuff, including the people who worked on it!) so I cannot WAIT to send them out into the world.
It's been a year since I released my full length record, and to be honest, I'd already started writing new material before the record debuted on iTunes. Ah, the story of a creative person's life. I feel like these 5 tunes are a snapshot of this past year's maturity for me as a writer, a musician, and as a person. Once again, I teamed up with the talented Eric Kinny for production/tracking/string arrangements, the one and only Mr. Craig Alvin for mixing, and the fabulous Georgetown Masters for mastering. Each of these 3 entities are so incredibly important to the sound of the project, and I am thankful to work creatively with them all. When tracking this EP, we wanted to go with something a little bit more organic than the full length record. While there is still full production on each song, you'll never hear a full drum kit, fake soundscape samples, or a ton of processing on any of the sounds. We did most of the vocals in just a few full-length takes, the layers of percussion sounds are all creative and fresh (in "Perfect Kiss" we actually used WALNUTS in a cloth sack as percussion. Seriously.) and you'll hear a lot more acoustic guitar as well! (I finally got over my aversion to having a guitar on songs). My goal as a musician is to create songs that you identify with, and to release music that is constantly evolving. I really hope you can hear the growth and the process I've experienced over the past year, and in creating this EP.
Now to the important stuff... The single, Perfect Kiss, releases to iTunes and Spotify THIS Tuesday, January 24th. The Perfect Kiss music video will release the following Wednesday, February 1 to my website, Vimeo, Youtube, and CMT! I am honored to announce that CMT has picked up my Perfect Kiss music video as a feature on their CMT Pure station during the month of February! The full project, HeartCrash, will release on Tuesday, February 28th to iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and all other digital sources. Our local radio station, Lightning 100, will be playing a song from the EP all that week on air, so if you're a Nashvillian you can listen at 100.1, or if you're located elsewhere you can listen online at lightning100.com.
Again, I am so excited for you guys to hear these new songs- keep an eye/ear out for the releases!
