Not an update 4-26-22

Good afternoon, I’m back after a good 3-ish years to tell you all that the project has gone nowhere. I mean, what else would you expect from a project that a teen was just working on? I don’t think that the project as a whole will be completely scrapped, but it won’t have work done for a long time.

Mother: Fracture update 6-10-19

Hi! It’s been a while.

Today’s update will purely be a recap on how the story has changed from the first reveal to now. It’s changed very much, I’ll be giving away some more details about the story, too!

Ava- Ava is a young girl living in the capital of the Pallette islands, Reed. She learned psychic powers after a scarring disaster where her mother was stolen as a source of energy by the alien named Irus. The siblings embark to save her, along with anyone else that was brought into this.

Gama- On the same fateful night as Ava, Gama also learned psychic powers. However, it literally costed his arm. While he was hospitalized, the plants in Citrusvale became sentient and attacked people. However, when Ava and Lance came, he mysteriously disappeared...

Fee- Living in Grene, the notable big city of the Pallette islands, Fee was unaffected by the invasion. Neither did her younger sister, August. Once she woke up that morning, a new face without a face was plastered all over the city, named Mr. Mani. Nobody knows why.

Jay- The only adult in the party, Jay comes from Blues Lake, a fairly calm part of the island. However, he sadly passed away and was rebuilt by the Mr. Saturns once they found him the morning after. While this happened, the area was plagued by thunderstorms.

Hope this clears up any questions and removes any outdated thoughts about this project.

Mother: Fracture update 5-4-19

Hello, I came here with good and bad news.

Starting just recently, I decided to remake most of the characters’ sprites, because I felt they could be much improved This will cause development to take a bit loner, but I feel this will make the game much nicer graphically.

If you compare it to older screenshots I showed you, you can easily tell how both the walking animations and the sprites in general have changed.

I hope you interpret this as the devs changing the game to make the best Mother fangame you’ll get.

II’m back! Tonight, I’ll actually be showing of 2 things considering this fangame.

Another Vision

How many Enemies will there be?

In Mother 1, also known a Earthbound Zero/ Beginnings, there were 109 enemies.

In Earthbound, also known as Mother 2, there were 171 enemies.

In Mother 3, there were 190 enemies.

In Mother 4 (At least before the rebrand), there were about 250 enemies.

Finally, in Mother: Fracture, there are more than 115 planned enemies. As of writing this, only 13 completed. Hopefully, this number will be reached soon.

Mother: Fracture update 2-23-19 (For real this time)

Hi again! Unlike the update earlier today, I actually have something interesting to show off (Sorry Mr. Saturn):

This is still a vision of gameplay, entirely made in Microsoft Paint. This time, being the overworld, instead of the battles that I’ve shown previously.
