                   Mistletoe’s  association  with  romance  dates  back  to  ancient  Norse  mythology,   and  stealing  a  kiss  beneath  the  plant  had  become  commonplace  by  the  18th  century   ---   but,   of  course,   while  being  firm  in  their  position  in  the  warlock’s  list  of  obscure  historical  facts,   they  are  not  thoughts  that  cross  his  mind  as  he  glances  up  from  Alec’s  features  to  instead  study  the  festive  addition  to  the  threshold  above  them.   

                    He  wouldn’t  exactly  have  thought  of  the  Clave  as  an  institution  which  adhered  to  Yuletide  traditions,   but  he’s  hardly  going  to   QUESTION   it  when  such  a  wonderful  opportunity  has  been  placed  in  his  lap.          ❝ I’m  not  usually  one  to  obey  rules,   but . . .   it   IS   bad  luck   ---   or  so  tradition  says, ❞          he  hums,   fingers  easily  curling  into  the  collar  of  the  Shadowhunter’s  jacket  as  he  leans  against  the  doorway   &   tugs  Alec  close.

                    his eyes were soft looking on the other, a hand quickly coming to attempt some form of COMFORT to the other. he cared, truly. he just wanted alexander to know he did.

presses kisses to jace's neck & trails his lips up to meet his.

         He sighs quietly, eyes falling shut at the pleasant sensation of Alec’s soft kisses to his neck. Jace’s fingers curl into his parabatai’s jacket, holding on to him and pulling him closer. His heart skips a beat when their lips finally meet, Alec’s taste, sweet and familiar, spreading on them and making him dizzy. Their kiss only lasts a few moments but they stretch out for eternity and Jace forgets everything else around them. It doesn’t matter, nobody matters but the man in his arms, and Jace knows that he is finally at home.

there was nothing quite like getting chewed out by their mother. she went in for the kill, for your THROAT, when she knew you hadn’t done exactly what she’d asked of you. something about it happening now always made him feel like he’d been reduced back into a fourteen year old that had just accidentally broken his second stele in a month. he made a b-line for alec’s office after getting out of that small room with only him, their mother, and izzy crammed together. “alec?” he called once before shoving his door open and slipping inside. “ ------ she’s on a war path,” he breathed with no further explanation before collapsing down onto the sofa across from his brother’s desk.
