Hiii :))
I'm happy to show you my latest MLP tarot card design!! It was a lot of fun to create!
III - The Empress - Princess Mi Amore Cadenza "Cadance"
firecoded but in the sense of the hearth, firecoded but not destructive, instead sustaining. A warmth on a cold winter night, a lit torch in a dark place. Campfire stories and roasted marshmallows. Scented candles. Firecoded but in a gentle way.
Decisions, Decisions....
So, I’m finally painting my dining room and am conflicted about colors. I’m obviously not going to paint over this gorgeous wood, as one of the previous owners spent weeks stripping it.
I also cannot decide what to do with my mantel! I have some pretty pewter, but also some lovely paintings, prints and pottery. After looking at some of these lovely images from A Primitive Place magazine, I’m even more conflicted because they look so amazing! I do plan to buying a nice crane and maybe adding some fireplace cooking tools so I can finally make mac and cheese as it as originally made!
What do you guys think? Here are some inspirational ideas:
I really really love 2 & 3 the most. I have hanging herbs in my kitchen, so I don’t think I will go that route. But I love the handmade candles hanging there along with the tools. I’ve decided to going with some pewter candlesticks on the mantel as well..but I can’t decide if I should keep it simple or make it more pretty.

Many people know the archaeological term “artifact”: a portable item that was made, modified, or used by people. But what do archaeologists mean by “feature”? Features are non-portable evidence of human activity—physical structures or elements that were made or altered by people but cannot be moved. They include storage or garbage pits, hearths, post molds or other house remnants, and a wide range of other types. MVAC Research Intern Cindy Kocik shows how archaeologists recognize, describe, and interpret features, using examples from western Wisconsin. Studying features helps archaeologists interpret and understand past activities and how people used the land, went about their daily lives, and adapted and changed through time.
