reunion [Say’ri and Mitama]
“Poetry you say / in every word, it seems / I bid you, play on.”
Say’ri smiles, glad that her gift has been received well. Her mare is grazing outside, but it might be nice to sit and relax after the ride. It’s not an inconsiderable distance from Valm, and the reason for her visit is not so urgent that it would bother her to stay overlong.
“Forgive me if I break our spell, but I have a request to put to you after we have taken our tea,” Say’ri says, “Thank you for your kind welcome. I would enjoy very much to hear of your news since last we met.”
Mitama laughed gently as she walked the halls of her home. “Words flow out easily / when your presence remains near / the truest of gifts.”
Oh? A request? Mitama hums thoughtfully as she entered the dinning room. She gestured to the low table for Say’ri to sit, placing her gift down where she intends to sit. “A request from you sounds like an interesting endeavor. What exists in this world you cannot master yourself?”
She chuckled as she stood and turned to the kitchen. “Is there a tea that catches your interest? Or perhaps a snack you wish to eat with it?”
