escaping the order had been no easy feat. alma had been right though--&& KANDA HAD ESCAPED, leaving his best friend behind him. his life is quickly && utterly ruined though--not too much longer after that, the child’s picked up, && sold to people living half a world away from him. it’s been months since he’s seen alma. he has no doubt he’ll never see alma again.
the boughten family scares him. they say he’s family now, with saccharine sweet smiles, && an offered hand, but kanda doesn’t trust it. he knows they handed over money in exchange for him. HE KNOWS WHAT SLAVERY IS, he’s not stupid. naive, unsure of the world, but not stupid. he’s never going back to the familiar walls of the lab, which are already so hard to remember.
( exorcism && innocence feel so far away now. )
but the son seems friendly enough, if a little blunt. so kanda’s taken to following him around, much like how a young puppy would. he’s not sure if cecil--what kind of name is THAT?--likes him, but kanda supposes he doesn’t care much. or so he tells himself.
there’s a new boy today, though, && CECIL SEEMS DELIGHTED TO MEET HIM. so kanda hangs back, trying to listen in on a language that’s still so unfamiliar to him, unfamiliar to the way he’s so used to talking.
WHAT KIND OF NAME IS AYDEN?
