Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah, which commemorates the victory of the rebel Maccabees against the Seleucid king Antiochus IV, and the restoration of the Temple.
In this spirit, let this Hanukkah once more mark the fall of tyrants, the freeing of the oppressed, and the restoration of what was destroyed.
