man, I was almost done finishing the chapter of my longfic, then I read your last chapter and now I'm once again in a mood for sire/childe vampire porn 😔

Just wanted to tell you that

once again you're selling me the trope of heat like no one else before lol, esp as some sort of biological mechanism that bonds childe with sire

the idea that the sire can offer clarity to the childe by pressing the turning scar, but only enough to command them further, is really clever

anyway now I'm toying with the idea of Dracula deliberately cutting up Hector with his claws (mostly his juicy thighs) because he knows that he can just force Hector to feel pleasure at that :) thank and keep up the good work ❤️

Ngl I am having a BLAST with that fic. I think part of it is that I used to explain vampire stuff away with a non-committal shrug and "eh. it's magic". Which works, don't get me wrong! But this time my brain went: wait. what if it's not magic. What if its just... biology. Like, bodies doing body things. It is just their species design, something they have no control over, like their eye color, whether they like it or not.

And i just love that approach. Making the sire/fledgling bond not a psychological but a physiological one at its forefront. They are still mentally connected. But their drive is different now.

I also love playing with Jonathan's bite mark as a trigger point, a short cut to flip their dynamic to complete submission vs. dominance! But even that has it's limits. Dracula can quickly put him on "pause" but only long enough until he states his next command, and like this, Jonathan can do nothing but listen. Drac's control is finite. And it is not really mind control in the classic sense either; a part of Jonathan is still there after all, he can think, and feel, even as he is being commanded, but his body/movements are just like that, overridden. The horror! The implications! Glad you enjoy that hehe

Or maybe moths, hungry for the light Dracula offers him." is it bad that I really liked this line and found it a cool twist for a vampire lol <- i know, right?? SOME part of Johnny boy is starting to warm up to Drac, no matter what he says 🤭

@ the last post: it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I try to be somewhat canon compliant, and focus on Hector's unbendable sense of pride warring with his need to be loved. So he's more resentful when Dracula is patronizing or in his mind mocks him but he doesn't know how to rebel. So their relationship is dubcon bordering on noncon.

But sometimes... when I have the Feels... I like to imagine him in Love. Before he noticed that he's serving a vampstard. Hector melting under his Lord's touch, and being happy that he's loved and cherished, and believing that any price is fair for that one sublime feeling. And it's still twisted and wrong and the hold Dracula has on him is immense, but. idk. sometimes i want them to be cute in their own fucked up way 🥺

(bonus if Hector is a little brat and knows he can push the boundaries a little because he's the Lord's precious thing :3c)
