So regarding the belly button thing, my gosh some people have nerve. Not in a million years would I ask a friend much less a stranger if I could lick their belly button even on a dare (maybe a close friend). I figured it would cause second hand embarrassment when I watched the video, but I take my cue from Darren. He seemed surprised, then amused, and then he just went with it. So yeah he’s the coolest guy and he didn’t seem embarrassed or uncomfortable. That makes a difference to me so I find the entire thing amusing too.

Darren’s assistant took the photo in the middle. The rest are selfies Darren took using my phone. He had just gotten out of the shower after the June 6th Saturday matinee, and was wearing this super soft sweater which I could not stop touching oh my god what is wrong with me I kept stroking his arms for like fifteen minutes. His hair was wet and he was walking around with bare feet, which you’ll see in the next photo I post!
Now that Darren’s run is over, I thought I’d share bits of my backstage experience. We’ve all seen the pink room in behind-the-scenes interviews & photos, but I particularly love the way this photo came out! Darren’s assistant explained that this chair is where he would sleep while they put on his make-up, and then he would wake up as Hedwig. Which we already knew, obviously, but we didn’t tell her that. ;)
