So, I'd like to request something. You remember that Marcille with reincarnated tall-man s/o prompt?
I'd like to request that, but this time with Milsiril, the Elf Queen, Mithrun instead. But, instead of reincarnation this time, how about an alternate version of their s/o gets isekai'd to their world?
When you had passed, Milsiril had fallen more into her gloomy nature, often refusing to come out of her room for anything other than food and even then she was barely eating.
she made numerous plushes of you to try and cope with the loss, though each time it only made her pain stronger.
she knew this was inevitable with loving a short lived race, but that didnt make the pain any worse.
It had been many years and the pain had slowly subsided, the small dolls she had of you now brought her comfort instead of sadness.
so when the elf queen told her that she needed to come see this new "visitor", it struck her as odd at how important the queen made it seem.
however the moment she walked into the room and saw you her eyes went wide and she felt tears welling up in her eyes...because there you were, the love she lost so long ago
You were confused at her reaction, unsure how to react to this crying woman who now stood before you. the queen explained your situation, that the last thing you remember happening was you fell from a bridge during an accident and you suddenly ended up here.
the two of you get to know each other as the queen had decided you would be part of the canaries due to your "interesting" experiences and how you arrived here. Over time Milsiril understood that you werent her old lover, atleast not really.
it was a bit awkward at first, you didnt just look like her old lover you sounded like them, behaved like them, enjoyed the things they did. you WERE her lover, but at the same time you werent. However, as the two of you got to know each other again (or for the first time) you thought to yourself that whatever version of you she loved....well they maybe had the right idea.
Being the queen of the elves, Heimea has lived a very long time. However in all of that time she had only ever had a single lover. a short lived race from a long time ago, after your death she swore to never marry again
As the queen she would never let it be shown, but the sadness of your loss weighs heavily on her even to this day. she often will look at paintings of the two of you she has in her personal quarters. often touching the painting where your are, that spot worn down over the years showing her dedication to this action.
When she had received reports of a strange tall man appearing out of thin air in the courtyard she was intrigued but didnt put to much care into it. thinking it was probably some mage who got a little to excited with there teleportation magic. So when you were brought before her it took all of her will to hide the shock that filled her mind as she stared at her long lost lover
The queen dismissed everyone from the room, the elves whispering about how you were the striking image of the queens old lover. when it was just you two she allowed herself to show a tenderness as she approached you " Y/N....is it really you my love?" Heimea asks, her hand reaching for your cheek. But your look of confusion causes her to falter as her hand falls. You explain how the last thing you remember was falling from a bridge and then suddenly you were here and that you have no idea who she is or what your doing here.
Heimea swallows, choking back tears as she collects herself. she takes you to her quarters and shows you the painting, explaining how in this world you were her lover a long long time ago. and that since then she has missed you, her grief hidden due to her responsibilities as queen. and that in truth she has never stopped loving you.
she makes an offer to you, stay with her and be with her like this version of you had done so long ago. she promises that if you are anything like how you were in this world, then you will be happy with her. and the two of you can live a wonderful life together again, madly in love and the leader of the elves.
between the paintings she has of the two of you, and the sincerity in her voice as she asked. you cant help but agree, after all, you get the strange feeling that you truly will be happy here with her. and perhaps a part of you missed this place even if you had never known of it.
You had died back when mithrun was dungeon lord, and the demon had used that as part of controlling him. the demon used his grief to control him, creating visages and copies of you that mithrun could use to try and pretend you werent gone, all while the demon fed.
of course by the time the demon was banished and he was saved, most of his desires had already been eaten. mithrun now living in this hollow state. and though he knew about you two and he knew that in the past he held such great love and sorrow when it came to you. Thanks to the demon he felt no desires or feelings about it, all he knew is that without you something just felt off. like if a step in a routine had been skipped and it was was noticeable to him in a way that could not be forgotten.
He knew that for your death to still effect him even in this state, he could only imagine what he would feel had the demon not left him as scraps to be tossed away. though all he could do was sigh and just do his job, its the only thing that mattered anymore. especially since he was forced too.
When the queen assigned his group to retrieve a strange tallman that had appeared from thin air in the castle grounds he didnt care about it, just did what he was told. However when he saw you he realized he was looking at his lost lover. all he could do was stare at them, walking up to them to see if perhaps his one good eye had started to go out and he was seeing things.
"You look like my dead lover" Mithrun said bluntly, looking at your shocked face at his words. Clearly you had no idea who he was or what he was talking about. The revelation only made sense, especially since you explained how the last thing you remember was falling from a bridge and suddenly you were here.
Mithrun explains how you seem to be a reincarnation of this person he lost years ago. When you asked about how he was acting so casual about it he explains how a demon fed on his desires and left him like this.
even though he told you that his desires were all gone, some part of you believed that he was wrong. the way he kept glancing at you as you walked with the canaries, with the way he helped you across rives with his teleportation,the way he made sure to offer you a fresh sleeping cot in the travels back to the elven home world. Perhaps deep down, his love for you was inscribed in his bones, into his very being. and that though his desires were gone, some part of his mind held an instinctual love for you even if he didnt realize it. and perhaps over time, you could fall in love with him in this life like your last one.
the elf queen had also implied she had eaten monster meat a long time ago (around chapter 95 or 96 i think?) so that's intriguing. must have been during her adventuring days
