KillZone
I love those games, especially the Helghasts and their badass army with their sympathetic backstory....
.....but why the heck do people think of them as the good guys? Cooler Aesthetics than the protagonists and a sympathetic backstory combined with the sins of their enemies does not equate to being good guys. It just means they are a tragic victim who decided to fight fire with fire and becime as bad or worse as their enemies.
The Killzone series are made up of shades of gray with the ISA of Vekta being lapdogs of the UCN who were the prime opponents of the Helghan Administration back in the day. The Helghast now are victims of a despotic tyrannical ruler who played upon his people's misfortune and bitterness to start a war in the name of revenge and racial superiority.
Both sides caused acts of genocide (albeit one of them accidental), have actively plotted such against one another and both have 'the right doesnt know what the left is doing' within their own groups.
So I end up repeating: Its a war of grays and I would only choose the Helghast because they're the more interesting faction aesthetically and personality wise.... The ISA are just bland and cliche.
