I've loved his movies since I was a kid! I'm absolutely obsessed with the way he captures the "Beauty and the Beast" dynamic in so many of his films. 'Pan's Labyrinth' and 'The Shape of Water ' were personal favorites growing up. (AND HELLBOY OMG.)
Even now, at 18 years old, watching his take on Frankenstein, I think he does such a beautiful job portraying love stories between the monster and the girl. He always seems to find the humanity in creatures that everyone else fears, and I love that.
Honestly, his work has probably influenced my taste more than I'd like to admit. It might explain why I'm constantly drawn to the Beauty and the Beast dynamic in fandoms...
