Hellevator: Going Down?

I love the transitions in this show, usually combining visual shapes or juxtaposing narrative themes. This one caught my eye as seeming like a basic slideshow transition, then realized it was Maxine and the ghost boys sliding down... and they both end up in Hell.

Had to make an evil gif about it.

I only use the ezgif website, which is limited in its capabilities, so the photo overlay is simple. If I'd had more options, I would have had it with lower opacity only appearing in the dark space of the floor/ceiling slide between them.

Chinese Memorial Day 2020

That day you get to send your beloved dead as much swag as you want, not to mention all those dead folks who don’t have anyone else to send swag to them.  In the Boston area, it’s always Easter Sunday (different in China, for obvious reasons).  Dad Lowe taught me to do this, so someone would be around to do it when he wasn’t anymore.  Now he’s someone I send swag to.  Including hats.  Which he hated.  Please note, the swag is made of paper, but once it’s burned, the smoke rises to Heaven, where it becomes the real deal.  Yup, even the money.

Because of my theory on how Dead Boy Detectives will start exploring cultural afterlives in season two through our heroes and their families, I scanned some relevant pages from a helpful book in my library called "An Atlas of Afterlives" by Emily Hawkins and Manasawee Rojanaphan ( 9780711280861 ). It's a J NON-FIC haha so it's a great illustrative overview of several afterlives' lore.
