Hellenic Polytheism Book Recs?

Hey y’all, I’m in the mood to buy some more books, but I don’t wanna blow my measly part time pay check on shit books so?? Got any recs???

random opinion, the elaion website seems incredibly judge-y. Or at least completely useless to those who don't agree with all their FAQs, that is to say wouldn't using their material be wrong if it goes against the organizations beliefs. Like if you do any magic or other religious practices in addition to Hellenic Religion that goes against everything they stand for (FAQs) so I wonder if using their material is "right" , no one can stop anyone but still?

I have some kind of misgiving about just about every religious organization I’ve ever looked at, which is why I haven’t joined any of them. However, at least some of them have a few good things going. If the scholarship seems good, I don’t hesitate to encourage others to use their resources. Also? Sometimes I visit those websites because I’m looking for validation that someone else interpreted Hesiod - or whoever - the same way I did, which is what happened in that ask you’re probably referring to.

It seems to me that information is like electricity: in and of itself, it’s neutral, and it’s up to the user to decide how to use it. I know people who avoid using Wikipedia because they don’t like the organization behind the site. While I don’t agree with Nova Roma’s stated goals, and I’ve heard some stuff about the way the group has treated people, I’ve found that their information about Roman polytheism is solid, and referring others to that section of their website means I don’t have to spend my time reinventing the wheel. 

tl;dr: If it makes you uncomfortable to use information from a website for any reason, Anon, then you shouldn’t use it.
