“ thank you! ” the girl exclaimed almost a little too cheerful but the proud grin on her features was all washed away when she saw her uncle’s face and OBVIOUS disapproval of dean’s reaction. a sigh fell from her lips. here we go. having to justify my behaviour yet again, she thought to herself. “ well, he kept bugging me. snapped my bra strap. he TOUCHED me. and i told him to stop. which he did not. i’m allowed to defend myself, right ? ” suddenly she gets insecure, gets nervous as if she’s done the wrong thing. maybe she was in the wrong. then again she didn’t want to believe that she should just take things like that and hoped dean didn’t believe that either. “ right, dad ? ”

“You did a good job out there, baby.” She’s doing her best to be as careful with him as she can, gently cleaning up the cut on his shoulder. Sure, she’d been worried for him -- she always is when they’re hunting -- but he can more than handle himself, and today he managed to protect the both of them. Jane glances over to the corner where Marina’s sleeping in a travel cot, and then focuses on Dean again. “You okay? Tell me if I hurt you.”
