13. Is there a moral line they would never cross

Mmm... I don't think he'd violate anyone, or murder someone who doesn't pose a threat to his life. He's never been under severe duress though, so I am not sure how far he'd go. Like he told Lydian, the reason why they can rest assured he won't be making a pact with Zariel is because he's pretty sure he'd get the short end of the stick if he did.

1. What, specifically, was the catalyst for their physical attraction (if applicable) to the other character? In other words, what in particular had them like “Oh, they’re...hot...”

This question contains spoilers, but... They swindled someone in some creative way he wouldn't have thought of. >]

8. What do they think about romantic love? Do they have baggage surrounding it? Do they idealize it? Is it an object of longing and wanting, or were they really not thinking about it until they started falling for the other character? What are their expectations like?

He doesn't think about it, doesn't long for it, and generally thinks it takes a lot of compromising to make it work, which he isn't usually fond of. Has it caught him off guard though? Yeah... He didn't have any expectations however -- he just let it unfold.

16. If they had the ability to just spend free time with their partner, what would they do? Would they go out or stay inside?

9. When in pain do they take it out on others or do they keep it inside

I think they take it out on others -- If anything, by being even more bitter and insufferable than usual. There's a lot of subconscious projection, with him, and he's not going to admit he's suffering if the suffering is real. XD Only in a "dramatic diva" kind of way.

19. What's their strongest emotion, the one which mostly rules them and compells them to action

Bitterness!!! Yay! I don't want to spoiler much, but you MIGHT have noticed that he isn't exactly the merriest or most agreeable person, and every little thing makes him annoyed and cunty. Bitter bitter bitter, and not likely to overcome a grievance easily.

I said it before, it's not even that he cares about people's opinion of him much, it's simply that he's so negative about everything it's hard to get a win with him. It might not help that he's been reproached often in the campaign, lol (I feel Moxie/Em's pain).

Bitterness is what leads him to act as he does -- taking advantage of people, lying to them, being insufferable. Idk if that is what compels him to action. I think, so far, that has been a mix of self-preservation and fear.

35. Do they consider themselves lucky or privileged

Privileged, of course. He's the gods' favorite princess, lest you've forgotten.

55. Do they live in the past, the present or the future

Interesting. I'd say present. He certainly doesn't anticipate consequences for his actions, so future is not it. XD He has some hang-ups from the past, but I don't think he revisits that often. Current events might be inviting him to do that a bit more though. 👀

10. Their most defining moment vs your favorite one of them

I think the most defining moment of Oak's story as a whole is, well -- what connects them and Tarlyn. The consecution: His death and their (re)birth. But if I narrow this down to the most defining moment during our campaign, I'm not entirely sure. Maybe it's the scene in The Ready Room when they tell Gal they're Tarlyn, the tears they share and the 'welcome back old friend' that kickstarts Oak's integration with Tarlyn.

As for my favorites-- I can't choose just one!

I love the moment when they protectively break the mirror so Duvessa won't get to Moxie, just as Moxie trusted and asked them to do, and their subsequent nat1 insight vs her nat20 deception.

I love it when Oak cuddles with wereraven!Verian, not scared in the slightest of his transformation even if they already know about his past; how they love the fluffiness and color of his feathers. :pleading_face:

I also love it when Espen and Oak debate politics and the queen's intentions and monarchy early on, when they were still hiding their consecution.

I love the end of the Merit Festival in the Emerald Grotto when Oak casts Mage Hand to grab the amulet from the shark's fin, and Gal! copies! them! but Oak still wins that contest! 😌 The fact that happened way before the romance was even conceived.

But my absolute favorite has to be: When Oak asks Theo if he remembers any songs, and suggests that they sing him one to comfort him while they work towards saving him.

Lol, what a random question. They work with Vermalock wood a lot, and their name is Oak, so my instinct is to say wood, but! Their personality is warm and soft and cuddly, so perhaps it makes more sense to say sheep's wool. :blush:

Mmmm... He would eradicate "quencies of my actions" -- but obviously only for himself, not anyone else. He would like not to have competition for gods' favorite princess. 😂
