"i just don't have any spring plans -- what’s wrong with that?” emmy says to the other with a shake of her head. she didn’t really get this whole spring break thing, back home in the UK this wasn’t a thing. she missed the UK and wanted to go back soon, “not all of us have parents who are willing to spend thousands of dollars on us so we can just go abroad and get pissed for a week” she says with a shrug.

yet odette finds something oddly therapeutic about the other. there's something about zoey's bubbly, bright personality that she doesn't just tolerate, but enjoys. she enjoys zoey's company. thinking about it for too long makes her far too uncomfortable for her liking. she smiles at her. it feels a little lopsided and strange on her face due to how infrequently she does. "that's ok. awkward kindness is better than no kindness at all. i'd say you're doing a lot better than me."

so i've been playing around with film in the darkroom all day today. i just left it about an hour ago & my eyes are still adjusting to being in the light --- everything is so bright all of a  sudden!
