IIRC, Roy in Arrow got given a backstory more like Jason Todd’s than his own, an addiction to a fake drug that gave like super strength and crazy (idk like off-brand Venom?) and dated Oliver’s sister Thea, who was also Speedy and some weird amalgamation of a brand new character but also supposed to be some kind of version of Mia Dearden? They made Dearden her middle name I think. So…. Weird.
