Ciao Roma! Sadly I return home to Austin today. Lots of hoops to jump through to get on board a plane headed to US. Thanks to United and EMed We did a virtual covid test in the comfort of our hotel room. I got the test kit through EMed prior to departure and carried it with me through out trip. You then must download the NAVICA app. It was very easy and I didn’t have to make an appt here in Rome and go to a COVID test center. Important: Do not open the sealed box until you have made contact with the online rep. You Follow instructions on box, scan the QR Box code, log in and you are put in contact with a live person who walks you through the steps of setting up the test strip, swabbing nose, and inserting the swab into the test kit. She observes you. Then she sets a 15 min timer and goes away. When the time is up, they come back online and you review the test results together. I got NEGATIVE... waited a bit then logged into my NAVICA app on iPhone and you have option to send the test results NAVICA PASS to your iPhone, email, and airline. The test was easy! No problems, no waiting, instant results. But working with airline to check in and verify results and figure out exactly what they needed - and to figure out the NAVICA app etc took time. In all about 2 hours! They send a pdf via email but that is not what is needed you have to send the info from the App. Headed out to the airport early evening because I wanted to try out “hello Sky” a hotel that is located right in the airport.
