Ogun had possessed a friend of Wolverine, while trying to obtain a mysterious and powerful box.

Wolverine met Daimon Hellstrom, who had found out about the situation. He wanted to know that the box was safe (it was being protected by Jean Grey and Storm) and to warm Wolverine about Ogun.

Shortly after, Lady Deathstrike attacked Wolverine to get the box. They eventually had a truce and went to the other two X-Men, who had been attacked by Ogun. Jean defeated him and exorcised Ogun from Wolverine's friend. But when Wolverine and Lady Deathstrike arrived, Ogun possessed Lady Deathstrike instead...
