On The Night Manager...
So, it’s available on Prime so I took a chance and tried to binge it tonight. It’s a noir series, with a femme fatale and Tom Hiddleston as the night manager of a hotel in Egypt. So... I just turned it the fuck off because it did something that I cannot STAND. The lead character is just... BLINDINGLY stupid. And is so, to progress the plot. You are not the manager of a hotel, dealing w/ all kinds of fucked up customer complaints successfully and THAT lacking in discretion and common-fucking-sense, especially with something THIS high-stakes. This is NOT a rec. This show pissed me off. Maybe I’ll come back and give another chance later, but whew when I get to talking to the screen at character’s obviously bad choices, that is a bad sign.
Does it get better? So I gotta list the ways this man was stupid in the first episode but I’ll place it beneath a cut for courtesy’s sake.
