Apparently, telling someone who constantly complains about a lack of romantic attachment that their assumed need for a partner comes off like learned helplessness is rude. Heteronormativity has us believing that there's a hierarchy to love, the pinnacle of which is romantic, and anything else is lesser; like, there is no point to life without a lifelong romantic partner. That's gross, and I'm over it. Life is not a checklist of societal expectations.
