IT IS VERY HOT OUTSIDE! HELP OUTSIDE/STRAY CATS STAY COOL THIS SUMMER!
Here are some simple ways to help outdoor cats stay cool during hot weather:
🐾 Put out fresh, cool water (refill it often). 🐾 Add a few ice cubes to the water on very hot days. 🐾 Feed wet food, which helps with hydration (and add maybe a teaspoon of water and stir it, because cats need a lot of hydration. 🐾 Keep water and food out of direct sunlight. Add multiple bowls of water everywhere. 🐾 Freeze bottles of water, and place them in different areas/corners. I do this a lot!! If a cat is panting heavily, drooling, stumbling, or unresponsive, contact a vet immediately or try to cool down the cat, those can be signs of heatstroke.
