Thinking constantly today about @cyrwrites Prompt about >Red Hood Danny< really made suffering through the migraine easier, but now I realize I missed the opportunity to have more fun with it by switching the boys rather than having both Tims on the same side of the Travel Door. Why had a one "whomst the fuck" when you can have two?

Also bc I'm all about suffering I was thinking about Danny's time in captivity and also Jason's fate in this universe too.

Maybe Danny-verse Jason still dies in a Joker murdersplosion. Why not have had Danny looking into a case by himself, knowing the G.I.W are involved he doesn't want to tell Bruce yet, still nervous about the way his parents kicked him out. Sure, Bruce is cool about him having 'Meta' abilities, but he's not a big fan of magic and the supernatural, maybe 'part ghost' is just a little too much, and they don't want to deal with him anymore?!

Anyway, Danny gets tangled up in a plot Joker was working on bc there was some kid there and this not-a-clown is not licensed to babysit. Shit goes down, Joker blows the warehouse, Danny tries to protect Jason from the whole thing collapsing on top of them.

He kind of manages. Unfortunately, Danny bleeds pretty heavily and has to go ghost for the first time in years. The mix of the ectoplasm now on Jason and his wounds, coupled with the two of them falling into a patch of water with a live electrical wire, manages to bond enough of the Ecto to Jason's body that he survives being crushed to death.

Power in that section of Gotham cuts out just like Danny's portal incident. Luckily, a portal to the realms isn't created this time. Unluckily, Danny gets snatched up by the GIW who ignore Jason because he's hidden in the shadows and also Danny's signature way overrides this new baby halfa.

Now like, the whole point of the Prompt itself at its basic is Tim Drake doesn't have a fucking CLUE who this skunk haired tank is, with Jason Todd Red Hood equally confused.

But Also I kind of want Baby Ghostling Jason to also be taken with Robin!Danny and somehow end up as like medic to the more important Experiment Subjects rather than solely one himself. But also I can't think of a reasonable way Tim wouldn't know Jason if this is the case bc Danny would either A) Not leave without him or B) have gone back for him as soon as he was capable of independent moving.

So in the two years between Rescue and Tim Dimension hopping, what did Danny just keep Jason off the radar and NOT gush about his adorable nerdy medic boyfriend??? How does Tim 'lightly stalking is my love language' Drake not accidentally slip in a window of Danny's latest safe house just to get an eyeful of his brother being sickeningly domestic (or intimate) with this dude?

Of course, I'm planning on Jay having a shadow core compared to RH!Jason's fire? air? hmm smoke??? Poor core doesn't know, yet it's still fucked up.

So, like, it wouldn't be hard for Jason to keep himself hidden if he wants to. Also, between a surprise assassin child, Darkseid turning Bruce into a charged Omega particle bomb aka Final Crisis(?), The Black Lantern bullshit, and the whole Bruce Quest, Tim doing a dumb shit thing and being kidnapped by Clark's crazy mage dad...

Yeah, okay, that could be fine. It just never comes up. Maybe Danny mentions a boyfriend offhandedly during Bruce Quest, but they kind of had their hands full and also if Jason just doesn't want to get involved with Danny's family yet...

Hmm, I could make the switch Danny's fault, in the way of a Ghost artifact he liberated from the recent Museum Exhibit much to Bruce's exhaustion. Tim has it with him and in order to reverse the effect they need Danny to activate it again but surprise! No Danny here. And Danny can't do anything bc Tim took it with him and huh, wow this is not their Tim.

yes, yes it's perfect. Maybe Danny-verse Tim goes by Black Bird, actually. Oriole is a good one too, since it's an imitation Robin? Peregrine has been popular for non-Robin Tim recently too...

Dang. I used to get ideas for tickle headcanons when I’d watch TV/play video games SO many times in the past, but I was scared to post/didn’t have a blog to post to so I couldn’t share my thoughts.
