So this is about an initiative started by a group in Madhya Pradesh, India who have come together to buy oxygen concentrators for hospitals and patients in rural and semi-rural areas.
It isn't news that India is going through a severe oxygen shortage right now, and even more so in rural and semi-rural areas where the number of people working towards procuring resources is low and monetary limitations higher. Amidst this, this group of (currently) 10 people in Ujjain, MP has been trying to collect funds to buy oxygen concentrators and have been able to obtain 5 yet which have been given to patients and hospitals who didn't have one, free of cost.
They've also helped in setting them up and done follow-ups on the recovery of the affected patients which has been possible because 4 out of 10 of them are junior doctors who're also working alongside the Rapid Response team, an incredible initiative founded by the R. D. Gardi medical college.
But one oxygen concentrator costs about ₹46,000 (around 627$ / 516£) and they need all the help that they can get to keep up the good work.
A single oxygen concentrator can help up to 900 patients, so every little donation helps.
I'm writing this on my sister's behalf since she's one of the doctors who's a part of the group, but I'd be urging anyone to donate and/or signal boost even if I wasn't, cause they're really trying to make a difference with this and I really, really hope that they do.
So please help in any way you can, and that includes signal boosting and sharing!

As you may or may not know India’s covid-19 situation has went from bad to worse in only a couple of days. The second wave has exhausted the health infrastructure as there are more than 400,000+ new cases everyday.
Lack of Supplies
There is a serious need for oxygen in hospitals, as they are running out of supplies. This includes IV bags, ventilators, testing, and multiple other necessities.
Self - treatment/Care
As the hospitals have gotten a massive increase of Covid patients, people have been forced to help and treat themselves. The shortage of oxygen supply limits their capabilities, as well.
Due to these issues, me and a couple others created a fundraiser to help better support the issues occurring. If you could donate or help in any way that would be greatly appreciated. Please reblog and spread the word.
Thank you!!
