Picturing a hench that always gets forced into dressing like Alice to fool the Mad Hatter (happens a weirdly consistent amount), they obviously don’t like it since it’s only a matter of time before it backfires on them spectacularly

(God, especially if the plan goes so off track that Batman ends up saving them, thinking this is a real hostage situation, it’s happened a couple of times and their “I’m totally an innocent civilian not an evil hench 🥺” voice + acting is not that good, he’s gonna put it together at some point)

Anyways, so it happens again, they’re tied to a chair, the plan has gone way off track (again, who would’ve guessed 🙄) and now there’s gun fighting and other weapons going off and fuck is that joker gas in the distance?? they need to get the fuck out of here now, they are way too vulnerable like this

Luckily, since they’re not an actual hostage and the other henches who tied them up weren’t that concerned with making it look authentic, their legs weren’t tied down

So they just,, rock themselves forward onto their feet and start slowly walking away from the chaos, chair still tied to their back and arms

Supervillain finding out one of their more competent henches left them to go open a greeting card store, which is apparently a lifelong dream of that hench??

So now they’re in civilian clothes, in that greeting card store, absolutely glowering at their beaming former hench helping a customer

How I would do a Batman movie:

So it would be a typical Batman movie throughout (but ideally better than some of the ones that have been put out), and the main plot would be Batman staying fast to his code of not killing anyone while everyone else is like “I don’t understand?? Just kill them??”

And then, during the climax of the film, there would be a situation where it’s like a bomb or something that’s been set off and is getting a whole bunch of the henchmen, and they’re screaming each other’s names out and Batman looks devastated

And at this point, the audience will be like “it’s a nice touch to give them names to try and humanize them, but they’re still just henches, so I don’t get why Batman looks that upset”

And then! I would put out another movie Lion King 1 1/2 style where it’s the essentially during that first movie, but it’s way more lighthearted and funny as it follows the events from outsiders’ perspectives, many of those outsiders being the henches

And there’s gonna be a few heavy scenes where it also comes up a little bit how every person got into the position that they did, for some it was just a couple of bad choices and they’re struggling to get out, and for others they never felt like they had any other option

There would also be a bit where Bruce Wayne is in the background in a lot of scenes

Then the climax would still happen, with all the deaths and all the screaming, but now you as a viewer realize that you know all the names that are being screamed and you know all the people who are dying

And so does Batman

And it ends the same as the first movie did, with Batman not killing, but it’s a bit more poignant in a way I couldn’t get the first movie to be, where the audience truly understands that these are just people caught in the curse of Gotham and Batman is the hero that they need

Based off the other post I made but I want this part to be its own post:

Villains having beef with Bruce Wayne specifically because he seems to be going out of his way to rehabilitate their henches, and good henches don’t just grow on trees y’know!!!

Once again thinking about a situation where henches are in disguise for a plot and get caught up in a different supervillain’s plot

Rn thinking about the Riddler forming a pop band for whatever reason, and he has so many plots going on that that plot ends up falling to the wayside so he kinda forgets them

And the henches aren’t exactly built for this, but they aren’t going to go against their boss, so they put in their best effort and end up getting pretty popular

Too popular, in fact

They wind up catching the attention of other villains and on the night of a big concert, the main singer takes a hit of their inhaler (because they have horrible stage fright) only for it to have been replaced with fear toxin

Gold star hench that helps the plan go as far as possible before the hero thwarts the villain and who somehow always miraculously survives any explosion/gun fight/fire/etc that breaks out

And they decide one day that their luck is gonna run out eventually, so they should quit while they’re ahead, so during the next fight when the hero kicks the hench into the ocean, they decide just to go home instead of bouncing back up to keep helping the villain, y’know, quiet quitting, cause it’s not like the villain’s gonna actually care, they can’t remember the last time they actually personally addressed them

Which all works out great…till they wake up to both the hero and the villain breaking into their apartment, the villain because they did put together that their star hench didn’t come back, and the hero because they have a no kill rule and they need to make sure they didn’t accidentally kill a hench when kicking them into the water

Once again thinking about different villains’ henches working together

Rn I’m thinking about a group of Riddler henches playing Rock Paper Scissors in the background, one falls to their knees in despair, clearly the loser, and is comforted by the winners while also being pushed forward

And then the loser picks themself off the ground, shuffles over to Harley Quinn, and asks if she could pretty please stop her henches from attacking them while they’re trying to work

(This is still during a time before Harley breaks off to do her own thing, so these are sadistic Joker henches, but talking directly to the Joker is a fool’s mission)

I’ve already mentioned this before but I really like to imagine all Scarecrow henches (as in those who specifically choose to be one of his henches, not those seasonal ones or the ones just picking any villain to hench for) to be as terrifying and unsettling as Scarecrow, it’s just how you can tell a Scarecrow hench from others even out of uniform, if they kinda just freak you out by existing

I like to imagine on the occasions where a couple of villains team up, they’ll have the henches work together too and it’s just really obvious which hench comes from which villain, even if they’re in disguise
