Hate when I’m reading a mystery and everything is vague as shit, not just the main mystery but the relationship between the characters and all these events that keep being hammered in as important but also aren’t being described in any detail and are just being alluded to

That’s probably a lot of people’s cup of tea, but for me personally I need some concrete reasons to care about the stuff that’s happening, I can’t do chapters upon chapters of vagueness just to get some idea of what’s happening in the last tiny bit of the story, it’s just not fun for me

I gotta know what the character knows in the beginning and find out more alongside them like we’re detectives together, instead of feeling like I’m pulling teeth out trying to get one solid detail of what’s happening in the story
