Following Hank and Claire after the attack is what shows us the depth of Bruce’s impact. He does, yes, eventually inspire them to superheroics, but that isn’t the entirety of his influence. In a full-page montage about Hank and Claire’s Batman-inspired activities, only the bottom three panels are devoted to vigilantism. The first two panels
(8) are dedicated to volunteer work and charity. The next page shows them doing dangerous volunteer rescue work. Their charity work goes beyond what I talked about with Henry Sr. earlier. It’s not just that Hank and Claire were more generous than their father it’s implied that they learned that generosity from Batman. Their altruistic turn demonstrates that he can have the same impact on his community more commonly seen in heroes like Superman or Wonder Woman. He doesn’t just save lives and inspire vigilantes. He inspires people to be better. He inspires them to care about their community and those in need.

family ties update: henry and cecilia did a whole 2 under 2 moment. meet sophia and ayla, guess we're stickin with names that end in a. we bumped our one bedroom trailer into a two bedroom. farm still needs some work but hey they've almost got 10k in the bank. we've made friends with a few of the henford townies. so far everything is great and their energy is always low :)
