Inside an inn at Haven, team Jaune, Pyrrha, and Ren watched with rapt attention as Nora played with the fluffy girl
Hera rolled over onto her back and accepted the belly rubs Auntie Nora gave her before rolling all the way over to her stomach again.
“Good girl Hera! Now, Paaaaw.”
Hera sat and lifted up her massive right paw into Nora’s awaiting hand. After a series of quick shakes, Nora released Hera’s hand.
Then it happened. Hera popped onto her feet and shook her body happily, she looked up towards her Aunt and did as she had asked. She barked.
Not only was her bark MUCH louder than normal, but Nora was also blown back into the wall as a shock wave came from Hera’s mouth. Tables and arm chairs in front of Hera went skidding back and tipped over, two chairs even being flung the same distance as Nora. The floor and wall even cracked under the force of her bark.
Jaune, Pyrrha and Ren were luckily on the couch behind Hera, out of the line of fire. Though they were slack jawed at what just happened in front of them.
“Wha-? What just happened?”
“That was so loud...did you see the air ripple too or was it just me?”
“No Pyrrha, I saw it as well.”
As they continued to question what just occurred, Nora pushed herself up off the ground. She took some hesitant steps back towards Hera, before rushing towards her.
“That was so cool! Great job Hera! Again!”
She didn’t get to finish as Ren tackled her and covered her mouth. “We don’t need to bring the whole building down Nora.”
Nora’s disappointment was muffled by Ren’s hand.
Pyrrha slowly got up from the couch and ”Hera sweetie, come here.” Hera turned around and happily bounced over to her Mama. Pyrrha bent over and pet Hera with both her hands. “What was that?”
Jaune walked up next to her and knelt down, petting Hera down her back. “This is only a guess, but what if that was Hera’s Semblance?”
Pyrrha tilted her head in slight confusion. “Semblance?”
“Yeah. On our way to Haven, I unlocked Hera’s Aura to help protect her. Maybe what just happened was her discovering her Semblance.”
“Well...I guess it could be possible. After all, Ruby said that Zwei was basically indestructible after unlocking his Aura. I always found it hard to believe Aura could be that strong. Maybe that’s Zwei’s Semblance?”
Jaune just shrugged, not sure of how to respond. “I guess we’ll just have to roll with it until we can test it again, OUTSIDE!” Jaune felt the need to stress that last word when he saw Nora’s eyes light up again, even though she was still being restrained by Ren.
“We can do it at Haven’s training fields tomorrow.”
“Ahem.” Jaune and Pyrrha turned around at the sound of someone clearing their throat. Behind them was a well dressed, older woman in a suit and tie, with brown hair down up in a large bun. She had a tick mark on her forehead as she calmly asked “That all sounds wonderful, but before that happens, mind informing me, the OWNER of this hotel, who is going to pay for those damages?”
Jaune slowly looked to his girlfriend. “Pyrrha?”
Pyrrha nodded her head quickly and slipped out her debit card while she said apologetically, “Of course. I’m so sorry about this!”
While Pyrrha went on an apology rant, Hera simply panted lightly and enjoyed the pets her Mama and Papa were still giving her, not fully understanding what she’d just done.

Hera’s Semblance: Roar (Also called Mega Bark)
Hera releases a bark loud enough to actually create a sound shockwave type attack. It ranges in power, but is almost always powerful enough to push opponents back or tear up the ground if not aimed high enough. It can also intimidate enemies, even how loud and powerful it sounds.
Some cons and drawbacks of this semblance are:
Lacks precision. Hera can only do it in a general direction
Hera doesn’t have complete control of how powerful they are for a few months. The power is pretty infrequent until she gets some practice in
Doing too many barks too quickly can wear her out stamina and make her have to stop to catch her breath.
Now like with everything, Hera needs to practice with this bark until she can use it more accurately/efficiently. She will also build up stamina to be able to do like a dozen strong barks in a minute before getting winded. The Puggle just needs some time to practice and grow~.
