Looking for a beta reader? Here I come!
If any writer is interested I am very happy to offer myself as a beta reader. I love fixing grammatical mistakes and formatting text. My primary language is Polish but I am very proficient in English (I went to IB school). I helped edit many works of my friends, all of which were academic papers. I would love for beta reading to be something I can do in my free time so ye... if anyone's interested let me know! I would be really happy to help!
Ps. I can still make mistakes but I will try my very best!
No one asked but here’s the love of my life
The anon ask earlier got me thinking. I’m a soft Dom, I promote positivity and inclusivity (though as has been pointed out to me recently, maybe not as diverse as I may wish) and I’m here for everyone reading this. If you want to ask about things you see, if you have feelings or problems you want to discuss, or you just need a hug I’m here for you.
Yes, you. The person reading this who is too shy to reach out. It’s ok, I’m a big cuddle monster and always happy to share knowledge, encourage and support others.
My DMs are open, my asks are open (and if Anon makes you more comfortable, that’s fine. No judgement.
As much as I only use this platform for enjoyment sometimes we all need to have a rant.
I'm not feeling good today and this is not by any means a pity post but more of an awareness one. We all talk to each other about our common interests and such which is great but sometimes it needs to be addressed that we might not be doing so great. Whether that be physical health, mental health. There's no shame in admitting that you're not ok, and today I'm not ok.
I have generalised and focal epilepsy, it is a neurological disorder that affects my life and how I live it from day to day. For any fellow sufferers (and I salute you) you will know just how much it sucks ass, and not in a good way!
This week has been full of highs and lows, from travelling and getting to enjoy a wonderful experience a few days ago to spending almost 24 hours completely incapacitated from a sudden onset of seizures.
Again, this is not for pity or sympathy.
The point is that we all have things in our lives that we struggle with at certain points and it's ok to talk about it.
So this is mine.
I have a neurological disability.
Feel free to talk openly here about anything that you find yourself struggling with, failing that my inbox is always open.
Let's support each other as much as we can because you never know who needs that little boost.
“Still awake? Are you feeling alright?”
It’s always okay if you aren’t feeling the best. No matter what or why you’re feeling the way you are, always know that there really are people out there who want to help you. It’s not good to pile up all that stress and unwanted feelings, even if they’re difficult to face. Many times, we want to bury those feelings deep down inside us so we can avoid them and ‘come back later’. The thing is, those feelings do come back one way or another, ten times worse the experience. Talking to someone is a great way to let out those thoughts and feeling, no matter how bitter or traumatic they are, no matter how painful they are to get out. It’s important that someone else is aware of your struggle to help you stay standing. Someone to be your buffer. Someone who sees you. If speaking is absolutely not an option, then there are other methods that have proven to help with stress, at least until you can get the chance to talk about it.
Reading helps, it distracts the mind to another place, a place that is separate from reality and one you can live in yourself.
Writing out your feelings, or journaling, is a great way too! It’s a way to get your feelings out in a way you can word and express it to yourself, and evaluate those feelings.
I’ve found that sleeping helps a lot, at least for me. When I close my eyes and drift away, everything from all my moments prior disappear, at least temporarily.
Eating healthy and drinking water really, really helps, more than you might think. It makes you feel really good about yourself, while at the same time keeps your physical body content and healthy!
If you or someone you know it struggling, there’s no reason to feel afraid to reach out for help. I know I was afraid to contact someone and talk about my issues, but once I did, I wondered why I didn’t do it sooner.
Stay safe out there, everybody. You are all so beautiful and handsome!! And absolutely amazing!!
