This is a work of fanfiction, and is not meant to reflect upon the people depicted herein.
Auston and Zach didn’t get married in Vegas, despite what Mitch keeps telling the guys.
“No, we got married in Scottsdale,” Auston says. “The honeymoon was in Vegas.”
“Who was there?” asks Willy.
“Well, Mitchy was, which is why he can fuck off with his misinformation,” Auston says, and Mitch sticks out his tongue at Auston, because he’s a child. “Larks, also, and like, our parents and siblings and stuff.”
“Stromer and Davo made it to the bachelor party,” Mitch says. “I planned that.”
“Yeah, for after we were already married,” Auston says.
“Because you went to Vegas after you got married,” Mitch says. “It was hard work. I didn’t want to go to a strip club in Scottsdale.”
“I’m sure you could’ve found one,” says Auston. “You had time.”
“You gave me a week’s notice, I’m not a miracle worker,” Mitch says.
“I didn’t ask you to plan a bachelor party,” Auston replies.
“Yeah, because you just weren’t gonna have one,” says Mitch. “Werenski loved it.”
“Is he still Werenski? Or is it Zach Matthews now?” Willy asks.
“They’re hyphenating,” Mitch says, like he has an opinion about it.
“We might be hyphenating,” Auston corrects. “Still deciding.”
“What are the considerations?” Willy asks.
“It’s up to the league, if they’ll put it on the back of a jersey,” Auston explains.
“They’re just trying to have obnoxiously long last names,” Mitch says, rolling his eyes.
Willy snorts.
