Alfred paused in mid-dusting when he noticed Bruce sitting at his desk in the study, hunched over a green envelope. “What is that, sir?”

“It’s a letter that was delivered to GCPD headquarters,” his master answered without looking up. “It was addressed to Batman.”

“Naturally,” Alfred drawled. “From that garish shade of green, I take it it’s from the Riddler?”

“That’s what I thought, but this seems out of character for him,” Bruce said. “He usually leaves messages at crime scenes.”

Alfred frowned. “Perhaps it’s a prelude to something?” He noticed though, that Bruce didn’t seem too concerned. Not concerned enough to open the letter in the Batcave at least.

“Perhaps.” Bruce took a letter opener and slid it across the top of the envelope. He pulled out a single page letter and frowned. “It’s from the Riddler all right.” Alfred peered over his shoulder to see a riddle scrawled out in green ink. “’What is mine but only you can have?’”

Alfred realized the answer in a minute, “His heart-” Then the full weight comes down on the old butler. “Oh my.” He looked at Bruce and saw him looking at the letter with a confused expression on his face. “I believe sir,” Alfred said cautiously, “That you have a secret admirer. Well, perhaps not so secret anymore.” 

Bruce shook his head. “This was a waste of time.” Alfred noticed though, that Bruce didn’t seem angry. And instead of throwing the letter out, Bruce opened his desk drawer and placed it inside. He knew better than to comment about it, and went back to dusting while Bruce went down into the cave. 

“Well,” Alfred murmured. “At least it wasn’t the Joker.”

I was really blown away by that person making a very obvious vague post to complain about your elves/dwarves LOTR comparison, and then responding to your good faith reply explaining your thought process by.... nitpickingly correcting you for calling it "Cadash" thaig??? I know people have erroneously accused you of being hotheaded in the past, so I just want to say I was impressed by how civilly you handled all that. I doubt I could have ever responded to them as gracefully as you did

OHHHHHHHH BOY well i really dig the rhinestone suit....a fav of mine. the hot pink hair shape like horns and the half white half green face mask.....ur hand in marriage sir. but i also really enjoy long haired ed because hes so !!!!!!! hes so cute and i love the labcoat with 27293723923 different pens in it and i love his converse theyre just so. yes ! i also love the normal riddler suit (with coat n bowler hat) it feels very formal and very riddler-like. ALSO THE LIGHT UP QUESTIONMARK SUIT???? A LOOK IF U ASK ME SIR!!! it keeps him safe while hes jogging at night

I don't mean to stir trouble, but I don't really understand how those screencaps are homophobic? I mean, I know a lot of gay and trans fans like to use Dragon Age as escapist fantasy - I totally understand that, even I'm personally more attracted to stories that reflect my real life experience. But those statements about Dalish clans valuing marriage/reproduction just seem pretty much like what we see in game? I mean, I always saw it as part of the queer subtext of Merril's exile.

but like uhh the whole ‘dalish as a dying race so they’re homophobic bc they can’t have children’ is a super bad reason to defend homophobia, also gay trans ppl can have children, male-female relationships can also not end up with children and the dalish co-parent all children and ppl who can have children aren’t baby making machines

also making up fake elven insults to gay people really rubs me the wrong way, never is the elven character having a struggle being gay when in a relationship with dorian/bull/zevran in relation to their elven ness

if u wanna see ur own experience in the game that’s totally fine i’m not saying anyone is invalid it’s just like, people who literally want it for the drama and like if u saw merrills experience as a queer experience (which could be a valid way to interpret in in tbh) with an unaccepting family than that’s totally fine and great

arguably the noah movie is more closely based on the bible than the mcu is based on comics. the "rock monsters" are the offspring of angels and human women written about in the apocryphal book of enoch, which was struck from scripture. but to my knowledge, tony and pepper have never had a daughter in the comics, even one that was "retconned" like the book of enoch.

If we're saying our favorite characters from NSB then I have to say Kal... I love them all (special mention to Peppermint, the mischief queen) but I've really enjoyed watching Kal develop from an "unimportant side character" to a sweetheart bookworm who's always there for his niece. So glad he's along on the family vacation... between him, Katherine, and Lemondrop there might be enough combined common sense to get Strawberry home in one piece.

I have a feeling you’re gonna be very sad soon because some stuff happens that cuts Kal’s trip short (which was outside my control, I was bummed about it, too, tbh). I’ll say no more on that, though, because that’s already slightly spoilery, ha!

I love Kal, too! I still can’t believe I was all “Whatever, if I manage to keep him alive until he grows up, that’s good enough for me” when he was born. Now I’m always babying him and checking on him in San Myshuno to make sure he’s happy.

The Hermit is SO conceptually cool... do you have any plans for more "dragons" like them?

:D Thank you! I don’t really have any plans for more, although I do have Duckweed (no relation to the FR player, lol), who is a similar kind of elemental existing outside the dragon deities’ influence. She’s basically the “spirit” of a pond (kind of like Hei Bai in ATLA). I don’t know if I’ll make any more, it’s fun to make up fake little pantheons though.
