Okay, let's answer both, because these asks are rarely exhausted, and thanks for the ask!
Writer Goals? Probably the first chapter of Angel Down (for the KidLaw), anything by Ossicle, including the darker work under their pseud (attached to Ossicle). The light, respectful, humorous touch of soultronica and the sheer chaos of their Suez Canal AU, but all are good. There's a lot of other good KidLaw writers too. I love you all. doublejoint is just so consistently good with the ZoLaw and other ships, especially SmoLaw, but I'll highlight one of their KidLaw . Click on their name for story after good story. quiet_or_die does a great KidLaw and also platonic LawBin. Again, I just love the respect and underlying winter evening air sadness (but not sad, but sad) of lqybs's bulletproof. Heart pirate fics (featuring Ace), itsxandy's detail with their AceLaw and Law and the Heart Pirates series. Anything by op_sheepy, especially involving the Hearts. One day I hope they finish / update the platonic lawbin they were writing too. The easy warmth and golden vibes of stars crash by lojo. Oh, and of course the wonderful astra inclinant by Petracore (where you gone, girl?).
There's so much more. These are my AO3 bookmarks, but not everything I love is on there. And some of my bookmarks are for kink rather than great writing, but they usually cross.
Question 2! A fic that brought me to a ship:
Maybe Hackdrawer's The Long Run, which wasn't the first LawSan I'd read, but it was maybe the first fan fiction that made me laugh, even though lots of the themes are not funny, but they're great with humour. It's not my favourite fic of theirs, btw, but it's a good one. Or possibly Runaways by Onehyperboi for Law/Killer.
It was fanart that got me into MarcoLaw, but unfortunately the tag is still mostly populated by me, though there have been a few new additions recently. Oh, I liked AceSan from other fics, but I especially like the way that Vandereer portrays AceSan and the same goes for his ZoLu, and I really like Deadhouse by YamatosSenpai for all the relationships in it, but especially the ZoLu and the platonic Law and Luffy. Not many people get both Luffy and that platonic vibe right to my mind.

ofc he first has to tamp down the urge to slam his elbow into ace’s stomach, bc he thought she was koala at first, and he’s trying to say like, Do Not Sneak Up on him, but thgen he’s like wait it’s my boyfriend being cute. we will allow it....
and he gets to turn around and ace still has his hands over sabo’s eyes and gives him a kiss and he’s like. trying not to smile because. he loves them. and it’s really nice to be surprised like this. Normally he has to go visit them instead, they don’t often get to see him.
a Moment of makeouts and soft grinding and physical affection and then Ace is like you should show us around the base!!
and sabo’s like I could show you my bedroom? (eyes emoji)
but Marco just grins at him and he’s like “nahhh, we have time for that later.”

And they’re. hmmm. maybe half-way on a hike or smth? sabo is showing them the revo dock. bc normally the two of them fly in lmao (makes it easier to hide their connection, if Marco flies them both in)
and also the dock is pretty and leads into a beach and it’s disguised as a abandoned fishing town/tourist trap, so he thought they’d like it.
and they do, if the fact that Ace hasn’t stopped grinning, is anything to go by. he just. also. needs to pee. and ace’s smile needs to stop distracting him.
but ace keeps dragging him around and he doesn’t want to say anything, so he’s like nah! it’s gonna be totally fine! We can stop for some food or snacks and I’ll just have a moment to myself then.
but also he’s trying not to get a little turned on. aching to go, and also, thinking about how humiliating it’d be, for his boyfriends to see him hard when they’re just hanging out for kicks, or how nice but confused they’d be, if Sabo accidentally-

“Then....just go?” Ace suggests, looking at him with a confused frown, and oh god Sabo’s now just imagining if Ace actually meant it the way Sabo’s brain suddenly leapt to, for Sabo to just go, piss staining his crotch and trickling down his leg to pool on the sand, and Sabo can just imagine how good it would feel if he-
“Oh,” says Marco, cupping his cheek. Sabo will not look at them, but he can absolutely feel how red-hot his cheeks get under Marco’s touch, under the weight of that tone.

“Wha-?” he says, knowing now he’s the one who sounds like a confused idiot, and Marco just cocks his head and looks at him

“I- I mean- I don’t-” and both of them are paused & staring at him and his cheeks are aflame as he manages a jagged nod, and then Marco gives him a quick kiss and when he pulls back Ace is just like

anyway 4 basic headcanons i kinda think Marco doesn’t really get it/isnt interested in trying it but he likes seeing Sabo desperate. It’s been my brain child since about... high school, and I’ve had so much fun changing it and adapting it over the years, and now it’s at a place where I feel really, really good about posting it and where it’s going to go. It hasn’t gotten much traction since it’s a crossover, but I love it.
