fucked up that homestuck was so good. like, on the whole, homestuck holds up and is insanely good. even though its awful. fucking even the damn little character sprites are a compelling piece of visual design. that so many distinct, specific choices are just that good is a testament to how inscrutable artistic talent is. Hussy isn't a better artist than anyone per se, they've just found an impeccable way to express a niche. there are entire genres of joke in homestuck i straight up still do not understand after 3+ complete rereads over 5-6 years and even then i like reading them. fucked right the fuck fucking fuck that the character writing and worldbuilding are also top tier. but its UTTERLY crazy-making how even the worst characters & plot points in homestuck are still amusing & compelling. do i feel threatened by lord english? no, i barely even understand how he exists. fucking god damn if he isnt a compelling villain anyways. fucked up man, fucked up
