I’ll be honest. I do not actually speak with ASL (American Sign Language). I’m basing off what I can look up online or in a book Mama gave me for sign language. I apologize for if/when I make any mistakes.  Also, I’m not the best with hands and motions. So I’m doing my best. 

Anyway! I’ve seen things about people having Link as mute/selective mute and using sign language to speak. For such AU, I like the idea of Pidge being selective and sticking mostly with signing, though she can speak. For whatever reason, she doesn’t.  I wanted some comedy with this when I noticed how “tight” I made Lance’s outfit seem in the LoA AU. But also a bit of Plance? So, Pidge is being led by Lance to the Arusian fields and she sees his backside. She’s definitely not complaining.

As a friendly reminder, I don’t speak in ASL. And I’m not the best at drawing hands and movements. But. I did my best with some of the signing and showing. I apologize for any mistakes. 

Anyway, I like thinking that though he doesn’t show to be speaking it yet, Lance does understand Pidge in the LoA AU. So conversations can continue with them.  And Lance? Well, he thinks he’s good at picking locks, but dungeons aren’t so easy. Sometimes you need a key. And Pidge has no qualms telling him she was right and he was wrong. 

I’mma be honest with y’all. This took a few days to do. Mainly because figuring out the signing and what Pidge says in the last panel and finding the right motions for her words. Thankfully I was able to research and able to use a site to help me out.

No one:  No one at all:  Brain: What if we had Legend of Allura, but with Pidge as the chosen hero?

Yup. So my brain decided upon this. Even with a new design for Zarkon to suit him as Ganondorf. And still donning Altean marks upon Allura’s face and even Pidge’s so she can be Altean instead of fully human in such an AU.  I really don’t know why my brain decided this sort of AU, but now it’s just happily thinking about it further.  And I couldn’t resist having a Korok there. The bugger is adorable. And I can see Pidge in such an AU sitting around with those fellows.
