“Better luck next time” 😘
Kimi is training and her parents are keeping an eye on her while she’s fighting a vilain. Who knows why Frieren and aizawa had to bring Saska (Kimi’s lil sis) with them but she’s to stubborn to let her big sister fight alone.
Justice Desserts : revenge Whump, my beloved
Before you ask yes this is 100% stemming from my recent obsession with #painandconfusion’s series whomping the Whumper’s and my brain rotted and voila
*~*~*~*~*
Hero couldn’t quite believe their eyes when they found mentor dangling from manacles in the training room of the academy.
Every nerve in their body was set alight by the room. The dungeon. The basement.
Their room, Mentor had told them after their fourth trip down to the basement, escorted by the faceless disciplinarians. Ribs still sore from their last visit to the punishment chamber.
It was only stone now.
Cold and dark, but this time they weren’t the ones in chains. They weren’t the ones who needed to be disciplined.
No.
They schooled their features to an expression of cold indifference, an expression they had mastered in this room as they let the heavy iron door close behind them.
Mentor looked up at the sound, and Hero met their gaze with their impenetrable one.
“Hero?” Mentor asked, voice croaking and dry. Weathered, like the old man was. Their thick strands of white hair fell around their tan shoulders, tied back loosely behind them. A rattle of chains as Hero stepped closer. “My god. It is you. Thank god. Undo these restraints and help me seek justice on those who have imprisoned me.”
Hero said nothing. They just tilted their head to the side, sliding their hands into their pockets to hide the shaking.
“I don’t think I can do that, Mentor.”
Mentor blinked. “Of course you can. I believe in you, come now let’s not—“
“Let me rephrase,” said Hero, cutting Mentor off coldly. Their eyes drinking in the quiet anger that simmered below Mentor’s calm. “I’m not letting you go.”
Mentor scoffed. Their eyes following Hero as they went to the wall with the assortment of tools. All of Mentor’s favourite things to make their Mentee’s know penance and the cost of disobedience.
“Hero?”
Hero just slid their jacket off their shoulders and rolled their neck, loosening up. The tools were so indifferent. Impersonal.
Not any good.
“Hero?” Mentor asked again, voice a little less sure. Hero smiled to themselves, picking their roll of black hand bandages from their pockets and starting to slowly wrap it around their wrist and hand. The movement was methodical but didn’t require any attention on Hero’s part.
What it did instead, was let Mentor stew in fear as they watched Hero wrap their hands. Taking extra care for the padding on their knuckles.
They wanted Mentor to suffer, doesn’t mean they have to. No… they had suffered enough.
Once they finished tying the second one off they turned to Mentor. Something ghastly and unhinged in their smile they shot to Mentor.
“Hero- hero. You don’t have to do this.”
Hero tilted their head, expression blank save for that horrific smile tugging at their lips. “Do what Mentor? Train? Become stronger? Endure?”
With every word that fell from their lips Mentor seemed to pale and pale further until they were as white as a sheet with fear and Hero was standing in front of them.
“You can scream,” Hero said gently, taking Mentor’s cheek in their hand. An imitation of what Mentor had told them when they were a child. “You can cry. You can beg and plead and whine, but just know in the back of your mind… I’m only doing this to teach you. To make you stronger. To remind you of the challenges a hero must face to be disciplined.”
“Stop this, Hero! Now!” Mentor demanded, but their bottom lip quivered betraying their fear and Hero could fly on the euphoria being on the other side of those manacles was giving them.
“Let us begin, shall we?”
Then Hero threw a right hook to the corner of Mentor’s jaw. Mentor let out a short, quiet grunt at the impact as their head whipped to the side. Then Hero grabbed their chin to right Mentor’s head again. So they were looking into Hero’s bottomless eyes and seeing the monster they made of the child they abused for all those years.
“You see now?” Hero asked, voice gentle.
There was a reason Hero was the number one hero. There was a reason Villain’s ran the other way when they saw them. It wasn’t Hero’s strength, or speed, or intelligence— no it was that look in their endless eyes. A look that promised nothing.
The dangers of staring into the void too long, and there Hero stood, looking back at Mentor with that vile, empty nothing.
“You— you’re not human,” Mentor stammered, bottom lip quivering more. Hero let out a laugh at that, taking a step back.
“Mentor,” Hero said with a slight sigh, shaking their head. “Of course I’m human. You saw me bleed. You heard me plead. Though of course, I was a child then but… come on. One measly punch and you’re already weepy on me? That won’t do…”
“Hero… I’m— I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry, I—“
Hero’s smile turned genuine for a moment, and Mentor’s heart pounded against their chest.
“I don’t want your apologies, Mentor,” said Hero, voice kind. “I want you dead, at my feet, after years upon tears of suffering from your training I hope to educate you on. You will be breathing, and alive in some aspect of the word but you— your repentance is never something I wanted from you. You old fool.”
Hero let out a small laugh at the mere thought of Mentor apologising, then that look settled dark over their face, over their smile like a shadow. As if the devil himself had taken hold of Hero’s body.
Hero stepped in close again and drew their fist back, something like righteousness shining in their gaze. “Now let’s give you something to cry about, hmm?”
Izuku knew that he shouldn’t have stayed up all night watching over Eri, but she was having such horrible nightmares. It would have been better if there were others that could calm her down, but the tiny girl only felt safe around Izuku. Eventually, around three in the morning, Izuku just crawled under the blankets with the crying girl and held her close to his body. She had slept until ten in the morning, and he was able to get a couple hours of sleep before he woke up to feeling a bouncing body on top of him.
He had to carefully remove her and get her cleaned and dressed before he got himself ready for the day. Or he would have done so, if Eri knew how to clean herself. Izuku had to grab a pair of his swim trunks before teaching Eri how to wash herself. He took the time to dry her long silver hair before they headed out to his class, Eri on his hip as she babbled about everything and anything. When they reached the classroom Eri had gone silent as Aizawa took her hand as Izuku placed her down on the floor.
“Thank you, Midoriya. I’m sure some of your classmates have taken extra notes for you. Please go-“
Eri’s big red eyes grew watery as she rushed to hug his leg as he went to his seat. The action itself was innocent, but he still ended up tripping. Gosh, was he becoming tired. He hasn’t gotten more than five hours of sleep in the past three days and it was beginning to show. Still, Izuku was able to maneuver them so Eri landed on his legs as his back hit the floor.
Groaning, Izuku moved so he was propping himself on his elbows to look at the silently crying child. They had just gotten Eri under Yuuei’s custody about four days ago and she didn’t want to leave his side since then.
“Eri? Are you-“
“Can I stay beside you Deku? I promise to be good!”
Izuku raised his hand, ignoring her flinch as he placed his hand on her head and ruffled it. “I don’t mind, but it isn’t my choice.” Eri tilted her head confusedly as he pointed behind her. “You have to have his permission.”
Before Eri could ask Aizawa just huffed in amusement. “Yaoyorozu, make some things for Eri to use to occupy herself while Midoriya is learning.” Aizawa tossed some snacks at the class Vice President. Momo giggled as she got to work creating things for Eri. “Now Eri, if you do this you have to let him know when you have to use the bathroom. That way another girl could take you.”
Eri looked confused, “why can’t Deku take me? We bathed together this morning.”
The room went silent as they looked at a sleep deprived Izuku nodded. “We did Eri, but do you remember what I told you I had to do before we got in?”
“You said you had to wear those shorts because it wasn’t apricot-“
“Appropriate,” Izuku gently corrected.
“Appropriate for you to be fully undressed. You also said you would have to finish after by yourself.”
Izuku nodded encouragingly, “right! And for the reason you would have to have another girl to go with you to go potty is because it isn’t appropriate for me to go where only girls are supposed to be in. It could get me in big trouble if I were to be caught in the girls bathroom.”
Eri looked up at him in fear, “I don’t want Deku to get in trouble!”
Izuku smiled softly as he moved them to his desk as he began to put her hair in twin tails. “And I won’t get in trouble.”
After that, Eri colored after she did a writing exercises that Izuku helped her with when she asked for it. The day went well, but it wasn’t until Aizawa mentioned that they would have a hero lesson late that night. Luckily, Eri had gone to the bathroom with Uraraka since Izuku had landed his head heavily on the desk.
A dark aura flooded over his head as he wished that he could get one night of sleep. Apparently, both Aizawa and Yagi were doing the class together.
“Midoriya,” came Aizawa’s concerned voice. “Have you been sleeping okay…?”
Shaking his head, “in the past three days I haven’t gotten more than five hours of sleep.”
“Her nightmares,” Aizawa stated with heavy sympathy. “It doesn’t help when she can only sleep well with you only. Don’t worry about it, you can just take your turn and if you fall asleep either Yagi or myself will take you to your room and allow Eri to stay there with Midnight until you are back.”
With that Izuku felt a lot better, but he didn’t miss the annoyed look of the others in the class that he got the free pass to sleep during a training class. He didn’t get a chance to feel bad since Eri came in crying and rushed for him. An angry Uraraka right behind her. Wincing at the tight hold Eri had on him as she cried into his school uniform.
It wasn’t until Vlad King came into their class with a smug Monoma as he held a tissue under his nose as it bled.
It was all Izuku needed to know as he gathered Eri into his arms as he then began to rock her back and forth. He grabbed his headphones from his bag placed them over her ears and plugged it into his phone to play some soothing music. Not long after she fell asleep in his hold as he finished his work, excused himself and went to the teacher’s lounge.
It was empty as he placed Eri on the overly plush couch that he knew Aizawa slept on. Her head rested on his thigh- the headphones unplugged from his phone and back in his bag.
Time passed and Midnight was taking the limp form of Eri to 1-A’s dorms as he went to change into his hero costume. He didn’t remember much, but he remembered getting behind the wheel of a car and maneuvering it around to chase after the other car. He tried to help Kaminari, but he dozed off.
It wasn’t until Yagi shook him awake that he crawled in the back, switching places with Bakugou. Once Izuku was in the back he basically crawled on top of his mentor and pressed his face into the man’s neck and promptly passed out.
Yagi chuckled at his sleeping protégé, Izuku was just too adorable for words. His spindly arms held the tiny body close to him as he whispered helpful tips to the other hero’s in training. It wasn’t until Bakugou got behind the wheel that he worried that Izuku would be forced to wake up from reckless driving, but he was pleasantly surprised when Bakugou was a better driver.
Izuku moaned lightly as he shifted to have his face buried in Yagi’s neck, he winced when he felt those dark curls tickle at his sensitive skin. His hand had unknowingly begun to rub at Izuku’s back as they had finished the lesson.
Sighing, Yagi got himself out of the car with Izuku still sleeping in his arms. Aizawa saw and not so subtly took a photo, not even a minute later Yagi felt his phone vibrate nonstop. Shaking his head, Yagi went towards Izuku’s room and tried to place him on his bed, but the teen refused to let go. Eventually, Yagi decided to take both Izuku and Eri to the Teachers Dorm for the night, Midnight agreed and began to pack things for Izuku as Yagi grabbed a purple bag that had Eri’s name on it.
They reached his dorm and they placed the bags in the bathroom as Yagi tried to place Izuku on the bed so he could also get changed, but failed once more. Sighing, Yagi just told Midight to set Eri on the bed as he settled both him and Izuku down. Eri, who was half in and half out, moved to settle between them and fell asleep with her head resting on top of Izuku’s arm, her back facing Yagi as she soon was also sound asleep.
For whatever reason their was, Yagi couldn’t keep his eyes open for much longer and he too was also asleep. When he woke up the next morning he was surprised to find he was on his back with a child on each side of him both of their heads on top of his chest.
Luckily, his phone was still fully charged as he grabbed it to check the time.
Aizawa: just sleep. Clearly you all needed it. Also, congratulations on being a father.
And Yagi swore he wasn’t blushing.

Of Being a Ladybug part 4
The cons of having your identity revealed
Sitting in the apartment that Penny had taken her to, Lois was gobsmacked. She watched the footage taken by both the local news station and a blogger and an amateur "journalist". She watched it again just to be sure she'd seen it properly. She turned to Penny, Penny's client Jagged Stone and his fiancée, Clara Nightingale. Piled on the floor in a corner, on pillows and blankets, were a group of teenagers, all surrounding a single black haired girl.
"As soon as I saw the video I got her parents out of the country. They couldn't wait for her and we couldn't let Hawkmoth, whoever he may be, find her earrings" Jagged stated, looking over his shoulder to pile up.
"She's been under so much stress. She's only thirteen" Penny sighed. The three adults looked so tired.
Marinette stood by the broken window by the store when she heard the police sirens in the distance. Fear gripping her heart she turned and ran down a few side alleys to hide.
"What do I do, Tikki? Master Fu is… And everyone knows who I am!" her head clutched in her hands and her whole body shaking, Marinette had no idea what to do.
"You need to calm down. Nothing good will come of this if Hawkmoth Akumatizes you right now. First, call your parents. We'll go from there" Tikki whispered.
"Okay, okay… I can do this" Marinette whispered, pulling her phone out and dialing the bakery. When no one answered she tried their personal cells and the house phone. No answer. Marinette paled further with every call that wasn't answered. Finally pulling the phone from her ear she looked blankly at it.
"Now what?" her voice cracked, tears gathering in the corner of her eyes.
"Marinette! There you are!" her head snapped up, her body falling into a crouch. Standing at the entrance to the alley was Luka Coffaine.
"Marinette, listen to me. We need to get you to a safe place to make a plan. Please, you trusted me with Sass, now trust me with you!" he called, waving her over. What else could she do? With Tikki back in her purse she ran off to Luka's side. Three blocks later and a phone call to Juleka had Chloé, Juleka, Kagami and Marlene meeting up. Chloe dragged them into a backdoor of her hotel and into her room. While Chloe went into her closet to find a disguise for Marinette, and Luka and Marlene sat with her to keep her calm, Kagami went back down a few floors to find someone who might be able to help. Knocking on the door, she pulled herself upright. 'No weaknesses now Tsurugi' she thought as the door opened.
"No autographs, a woman in a dress suit and pink hair said, not looking at Kagami and going to close the door again. Kagami was quicker, slamming her hand on the door," Marinette needs help!" she said. Everything in the hall became still. The door opened and Penny Rolling finally looked at the girl before her. In a black skirt, red blouse and white cardigan, with black hair and brown eyes. If it weren't for the eyes, Penny might have thought she was Marinette's sister.
"Talk. You have 60 seconds before I call hotel security."
"Her identity was revealed today, and I know I saw the blogger and a news anchor close by. She can't reach her parents and we don't know who else to call. She trusts you and I know you're close with her family. She needs to get out of Paris. We know Hawkmoth is after her, and by the look on Chat's face, nobody is sure what he'll do. We brought her here, but we need help. Paris should never have been left in the hands of kids" Kagami spat out quickly. She'd been so proud when she'd been chosen, but right now? Now she hated whoever had given the Miraculi out to kids. What could any of them do? They had no idea where to start with a plan, and their leader, the one to make the plans usually, was too emotionally compromised to do anything but breathe right now. What to do? Who to trust?
"I already took care of Sabine and Tom. They're on a trip to visit family in Shanghai" Jagged Stone stood behind Penny now, a hand on her shoulder, "We will get dressed and take her to a safe place in Paris. Penny has a contact from the US on the way already. We will wait for her to land. If we can get the Bourgeois girl involved, we may be able to get Marinette out to safety until the heat dies down" his voice was strong, Soothing and Kagami felt the tension leave her for the first time.
"We're in Chloé's room now, so I think we can count on her cooperation. But you need special access to get in."
Nodding Jagged looked at her, "Wait inside the main room, but make sure Marinette doesn't answer her phone for anything. I mean it, no other people should talk to her until we get her and her parents to safety" Jagged said as he walked to his room. Kagami quickly pulled out her phone and let Luka know. Luka fired back with a picture of Marinette wearing a ripped pair of black jeans and converse and a grey off the shoulder t shirt saying "awkward is my specialty" and a pair of dark sunglasses that covered most of her face. A red wig finished the transformation into someone who wouldn't be recognized. Kagami chewed her lip as she wondered if Jagged Stone wouldn't ruin things. Just as she thought that, the door to Jagged's room opened and out stepped an unrecognizable business man, with long black hair freshly washed and tied at the nape of his neck and a simple black suit, his tie loosened and the top button undone. Kagami blinked, then blinked again just to make sure she wasn't seeing things. Out of the opposite door came Penny, fuzzy long brown hair, jeans and a tank top and a sleek leather jacket, Kagami could hardly believe these were the same people. She texted Luka to meet them in the lobby and led the way there herself. When Clara Nightingale opened the door to her apartment, Kagami didn't even pretend to be shocked. Of course Marinette knew them all.
Lois heaved a heavy sigh, before pulling out her Justice League phone.
"Bruce? We have a problem"...
