slowly conscious began to return ; pushing the girl out of her slumber. forcing her to open her eyes and take in her surroundings through hazy eyesight. the pounding in her head causing for eyebrows to crease and groan to slip out. still, the detective began to push herself up. the last thing she remember was getting the call about the alien and heading straight for it FEARLESSLY. that had obviously landed her nowhere but on her ass. 

out of nowhere, she heard a sound. AN INTRUDER. her body instinctively went into alert. hands reaching for the gun and standing up quickly. not such a smart idea as the world seem to tilt on her and her body moved with it. the moment of dizziness did not stop her from pointing her gun in the direction she thought the sound was coming from. 

                            “ NCPD ------------- hands where i can see them ! “

“Come here often?” Annika asked, as she slipped herself beside Kara at the bar. “Wow, sorry, that came out like a cheesy pick up line-- I swear that’s not how I meant it...” She let out a laugh. “What I mean is... I haven’t seen you around here before, are you one of us or...?” With most it was easy to tell if they weren’t human; by their weird eyes, or their abnormally large... something. But with most aliens taking the form of humans to feel safer on earth, it was becoming harder to tell. Not to mention there were races, like her own, that already had the ‘human’ form down.

“Woah, is she drunk?” Winn questioned as Alex and Hank brought Kara into the main frame of the DEO sitting her down in one of the chairs nearby. The two discussed a few things, mentioning that Kara and Mon El had apparently gotten drunk at that alien bar they’d been going to frequently. With no real instructions on what to do with Kara, Alex and Hank went off to continue discussing whatever it was they had been talking about, leaving Winn with Kara. Glancing over at Kara, Winn chuckled, watching her and finding that even drunk Kara Danvers was adorable.
