The Mark of Athena (The Heroes of Olympus #3) by Rick Riordan
★★★★★
book #21 of 2020
And I finished it in time. It all worked out and happy endings all around. I don’t really have a lot to say. It was a nice ending for the series. The House of Hades is still my favorite for the series, even though I loved Nico’s perspectives in this one.
A little less than halfway and I'm definitely enjoying this one. I feel like the stakes are much higher this time around and it makes me wonder if the series will end with one of the eight heroes dying.
I love the point that is being made right now about how Percy doesn't realize or even care sometimes the way he leaves things. About how many people he has forgotten and how he hasn't been a great friend. He needs to be humbled.
Gonna get into this for an hour or so.
I've finished! I have two more books in the series to read.
I wish we got the perspectives of each character in each book, but I still enjoyed how the story unfolded. I love how much Frank embraced his power in this book and gave into changing into all manners of animals. I wonder though is it based on something he has seen before or does he only have to think of the animal to become one.
I am looking forward to the next book, but I don't know if I am going to read it now or pick something else up first.
They’ve just met The Golden Boy and Percy has just had his dream. I assume the statue is guarded by Arachne, and that was who was talking to the giants and who Annabeth will have to face on her quest. I didn’t want to stop reading, but I have a horrible headache, so my focus is not great right now.
The app says it will take me a little over two hours to finish the book, so we’ll see if I can get in at least an hour tomorrow.
