I'm gonna be 1000% honest, because I've been thinking this for a long time.

I would low-key cry tears of joy if AE ever tries to revive Herosmash.

I'm dead serious. I've literally had dreams of it getting revived, then wake up super sad.

Please tell me I'm not alone. Please tell me you remember this gem. Please.

Working on some T-shirt designs for smash characters so here is my design for Hero.

Herosmash: Overture 4

“I want you to keep an eye on the superheroes, especially Demolicious.”

“Roger, sir.”

The army men in this image are Vespulo Vulgaras and an underling. Vespulo ordered the underling to keep watch on the superheroes.

While army men generally have very short hair, being Luohan bald is quite a statement.

I painted the camo patterns by hand with a wooly brush. They made passable patterns for a fictional army.

The speech bubble's contents were inspired by Tang Wen Xi's painterly sketches. My original sketch was to have the underling standing upright with binoculars instead of low crawling.

I rethought this when I remembered that actual military operatives would rather NOT be seen when on active duty.

Herosmash: Overture 3

Meanwhile, Luigi daVinci wasn't getting anywhere with the Malachite he had unearthed.

Despite the Malachite being the beating heart of all superpower, he couldn't make it bring his deceased brother back.

What could he do next?

In the original Herosmash game, daVinci and others in the supervillain faction lived in an actual underground city atop a magma vein. The map was badly lit so I presume daVinci's hideout would be similarly dim in most cases.

I thought the Malachite in game was a beating heart and sarira, hence its appearance in my artwork. The idea of a god's actual beating heart becoming a gemstone relic was one I latched onto back in 2011.

I intend to incorporate more mythological tropes in this series and reinterpretation of Herosmash.

Herosmash: Overture 2

Demolicious received an email from Vespulo Vulgaras, a weaponsmith and tycoon, with information on a mechanical superweapon and the coordinates to collect one of its required resources.

In the unpublished continuation, the author had adapted and changed several plot threads around to make them coherent. The mechanical monster is something I decided to add for my version of the story, as the actual game never progressed far enough to actually show the Dominator.

The monster is supposed to be a robotic Pixiu, but I clearly need more practice in depicting dragon-headed griffins.

Herosmash: Overture 1

“Azimoff, are you sure I should head to the Arctic to find clues on the Celestial Pixiu?”

“Yes. The Pixiu is a machine that can stop supervillains for good. If it falls into the wrong hands...”

“Got it, got it.”

Azimoff showed up the next time Demolicious headed to the skyscraper to muse on her lack of progress.

She made good on her oath to follow up on many things.

A continuation of Big City Solitude and potentially one of many digital paintings I would like to do to adapt the unpublished continuation of the game Herosmash.

Azimoff's design is fanmade. He never had an actual appearance in canon.

Big City Solitude

“I still haven't found Azimoff. When I do, I have so many questions to ask him, and not just for Maru's or dad's sake.”

It's been a very long time since I made fanart of Herosmash, an Artix Game. Demolicious was a deeply unpopular character in the fandom until my headcanons came along when the game was in its prime.

The other players generally accepted my headcanons about Demolicious. The most notable was that she was supposedly a distant cousin of the Lion Twins, my player characters. This would make her father their distant uncle.

I am unsure how I would've reconciled the family headcanon if the volunteer author's continuation had actually been added to the game.

P.S. I used to think that Artix Entertainment was hinting at something with Demolicious specifically using her left hand to lead an attack. It didn't really get followed up, sadly, as the entire game became abandonware after 2012 or so.
